The property inside is very clean and comfortable. Comfortable bed and linen. Wifi is excellent. The fridge, hob and microwave were great for creating simple meals. Very quiet and rural area. Lovely hosts.

The staff are a massive asset to the white horse, chantel and Debra were really friendly and helpful and did all they could to ensure you stay was a goood one. the location was peaceful and the rooms very clean. The food was excellent, and i fully intend to stay again next time i am in the area.The stay was so much more enjoyable than staying in a genric hoytel chain.

First stay since the modern hotel accommodation has been attached to the original listed Art Deco building - made a pretty good job of it. Room was larger than expected and very comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast was okay, lots of choice although hot buffet option is never as good as freshly cooked to order. Rooms well noise insulated against traffic noise.

Being used to house refugees Dirt filthy Pillows stained and smelly only 1 small hand towel and 1 bath towel in room just a rundown awful property, holes in the carpets on the stairs, windows not been cleaned for months and months so you couldn't see out of them, toilet seat dirty and stained, shower door dangerous, Refugee males sitting outside of reception on phones smoking, with their children running round the car park and kicking footballs near all of the cars. It needs to decide if it wants to be a hotel or a hostel. not what i was expecting for over 100 pounds a night. And was told on arrival chef was going home at 6.30pm as they had no dinner bookings, so no food on premises and we checked in after a long day working and traveling at 5.30pm. I would not recommend this hotel sadly.

Reception is in the bar, who were busy serving drinks but came to check us in as soon as one had a moment. Very friendly and helpful. The restaurant/bar was very loud with giant sports TVs blaring out for cheering patrons, we didn’t stay to enjoy this as we wanted a quiet relaxing drink so didn’t get to enjoy ‘the View’. However the room was clean, practical and comfy. Good facilities with iron and board, hairdryer and kettle. Bottled water was a nice touch. We had a downstairs room and could hear feet stamping above but was bearable for how short we were in the room. Slept well, had a good breakfast and check out was 10am... would have preferred 11am having been at a wedding the night before but the cleaner banging away next door made sure we were up, lol! Overall it was a good stay and great if we could play golf as the course is literally on your doorstep.TaraUnited Kingdom - 2.0Scored 2.0
We were very dissapointed.
We were very dissapointed. When we arrived at 4pm the room was cold as the window was open ,even though it was cold outside and no heating avalible. The bed was absolutely awful ,it was so hard and there is no way it was a double,more like a small double. We were on holiday from work and by the time we woke in the morning at 8am the heating was off again ,it was to cold to shower. I would of cancelled for the next day ,but unfortunately we did not see any staff ,as we went back to the property after the pub had closed. Beautiful flowers everywhere make it worth a visit. Bill's restaurant for lunch & Bebos for breakfast are highly recommended. Shopping centre is great with nicely kept areas to enjoy the ambience.

They made me welcome reception & breakfast room was comfortable & loved having soak bath as where I’m renting only have shower. Slept well as quiet no traffic passing night. I went into town evening dined with friend zizzi Italian restaurant but there’s also Bills others restaurants there shopping centre, lake & they have cinema & Better Gosling gym if want exercise

It is a cute town with it’s own personality.
It is a cute town with it’s own personality. There is a bakery nearby the hotel along with a few other shops and there are buses that make it easy to get to the train station, which is located in the town centre. The station is connected to a shopping centre, which makes it easy to pass time while waiting for your train. I like how there is a train that takes you all the way to King’s Cross in London, that way you can combine your stay in Welwyn Garden City with a trip to the capital as well.

We were told it was a “stunning upgrade to a 2 bedroom apartment in Empire House, Times Square at no additional cost” other than the extra space it was not an upgrade. The last two days at this accommodation (3 week trip to Italy and UK) were very disappointing. I should comment that it was my second time booking the original apartment in Welwyn Garden City because I thoroughly enjoyed my first experience.JulieCanada
