Great location.
The interior was beautiful.
Didn’t matter to us but was great that they catered for different milk needs.
Breakfast was incredible. A great variety on the menu.
We stayed in room 4 which had air con, super comfy bed and a beautiful bathroom! Plenty of hot water and quick to fill bath tub. Toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, bath/shower gel, conditioner and shampoo all provided.
Help was given for us to get our stuff upstairs.

The room was very pleasant and comfortable. There was a very attractive en-suite, all very clean and well kept.
The breakfasts were super, an excellent buffet selection and a good menu of cooked dishes. Breakfast is taken in a beautiful room at the rear of the hotel, very calm and peaceful, just a delight! The staff at the Marlborough are very friendly and engaging, also very helpful with suggestions of where to eat, directions etc.
The Duke of Marlborough is a quaint building just outside Woodstock and Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. It offers free parking and hearty, locally-sourced food.

Large clean bathroom, room very clean, free car parking. Room was comfortable enough for three adults. Food was good.

A beautiful country town with quaint shops and a good selection of restaurants. We visited the Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum for family reasons and found it very interesting with pleasant and friendly staff. The cafe within the grounds of the Museum is excellent.
We ate at the Punchbowl Inn both evenings and enjoyed our meals there very much. The staff were very friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend - not cheap but worth the money.
We also visited Blenheim, not the Palace but the park and gardens, just glorious!

A pleasant market town with pretty buildings, a range of shops including antiques. art and interior designs, as well as a butchers, a co-op and several pubs, restaurants and cafes. There were also 2 small museums.
Blenheim Palace was only a 10 minute walk from Woodstock. We spent 2 days visiting the Palace and its grounds, and felt we could have spent longer.
There was a frequent bus service into Oxford. Buses ran every half hour from about 5.30am to 11.30pm, cost £2, and the journey took about 40 minutes. We spent 2 days visiting Oxford and felt we could have spent longer.
The only downside about Woodstock was car parking, which was restricted to pay and display between 8.00am and 6.00pm every day.
There was a free car park near the fire station which allowed upto 12 hours stay in any 24 hour period.
For longer stays, 24 hour car parking permits could be purchased from the Council for £10 per day.

Beautiful small town.
Beautiful small town. Plentiful accommodation and restaurants, most of which were dog friendly. Ideal for visiting beautiful Blenheim Palace and nearby Oxford. We ate at Punchbowl pub , good friendly service, very dog friendly, food and drink good. Would not stay at Macdonald Bear next time but probably at one of the many pubs that had rooms.

Our trip was fundamentally to view the lights and the house at Blenheim Palace; the theme was Sleeping Beauty.
We arrived at about 3pm. Just right as dusk was setting in. We toured the house which was utterly incredible - How a person or company could put together such a phenomental piece of design, unchanging in its beauty, throughout the rooms that had been decorated to continue the theme - I do not know. To continue outside and see the light display was nothing short of sensational - it lit up the whole of the 1.5 miles of the walking tour and the evening sky. An unforgettable experience. The next day we shopped through the village enjoying its ancient buildings and some of the shops filled with objects d`art , clothes, furniture and lighting. An experience that cannot be better but can be changed...........in summer.
The room was a good size, the bathroom was very good and the bed very comfortable.
Breakfast was very good with a good choice.
Dinner was superb. Delicious duck and apple tart tatin. (We had one dinner in the hotel). There were quite a few other places to eat nearby.
The reception staff and staff in the dining room were very friendly and pleasant.
It is a short stroll to Blenheim Palace and Woodstock is a great historic town.
Perfectly situated for Woodstock and although we didn’t use it there was a regular bus service into Oxford. Woodstock is convenient for visiting local Cotswold towns and villages. We self catered and there is a small Coop and several small local shops which cater for specific needs. However if you need a doctor don’t bother the local surgery they aren’t interested and refer you to somewhere else, quite a way away.
We loved the atmosphere in the public rooms. The staff were exceptionally friendly and efficient. The breakfast was excellent. The location was ideal for us at it was right in the centre of Woodstock. Woodstock is a delightful little town with lots of interesting and independent shops. The Crown is also within walking distance of Blenheim Palace, as well as many other local attractions.
Lovely room (we had a twin), plenty of space. Same for bathroom (we had a shower as opposed to a bath). It was very clean, The building has lots of character and is in a great location in Woodstock with plenty of restaurants nearby. There is parking at the hotel which is a real bonus in Woodstock. The staff were lovely and we had a really nice breakfat
We stayed in a premium room and we were delighted with it. Large and comfortable. Excellent location for Blenheim Palace which was the reason for going. Picked this hotel due to reviews on parking in the area. There is a charge for parking at the hotel but this was invaluable as did not see a vacant roadside parking slot during our entire stay.
Location, location, location! Lovely to have been able to stay so centrally. House was comfortable and just right for a short stay in Woodstock with Blenheim park virtually on the doorstep (if you know where the town gate is!) and plenty of shops to poke around and superb restaurants and pubs.
The interior of the property is very modern and spacious. It is extremely clean and really nicely fitted out with everything you need for a few days away. Plenty of towels and nice bedding. It is within easy walking distance of Woodstock with a great choice of bars and restaurants nearby.
The location was fab, just down the road from Blenheim Palace, right in Woodstock, the room called William was stunning, lovely, clean, modern.Staff so friendly and managed to get a restricted space right outside the hotel.Food was fab.
Staff were very friendly and allowed us to check in earlier than advertised. Being able to park at the hotel was helpful. Location great for walking around Woodstock and getting to Blenheim Palace.
it is a beautiful pub with rooms upstairs—completely lovely. It is the closest hotel to Blenheim as well. the food and the people were extraordinarily great.
