Everyone was nice but the kitchen staff was spectacular. The star of the show in my opinion was Manos, who seemed to be the head waiter. His simple presence uplifted the entire restaurant. His wording, even in a second language, made the atmosphere graceful and you felt provided for without pretention. So much warmth and so professional. The waitress Sofia would pick up crying children (with approval of parents of course) and welcome everyone warmly. The food of course was also good, as well as the rest of the staff. thank you!

Elounda is a compact small town on a beautiful sheltered bay. Easy to walk around to visit shops and the many restaurants, tavernas and cafes. In high season it's very much a resort but it's also really nice to visit it out of season, when it's just a working town. There are expensive resorts and hotels outside the main town and it's obvious that there is sufficient income for the local authorities to keep the roads, pavements, infrastructure, etc., well maintained, unlike some other places on Crete.

Would be a charming town if not sooo many tourists who are being brough to Elounda with big busses to do boat tours.
Above has impact on prices and daily routine in the town, leaving little space for Cretean live-style.

Elounda is a great place - very pretty, everything you need is within walking distance - you dont really need a car. Beaches are close by, or you can walk further out to them. Bars and restaurants all around - some cheap and cheerful, some traditional some finer dining - but all are excellent.
You can get boats from the harbour/port to various places. Lots of places to visit - Spinalonga, Ag Nik, Heraklion, museums etc
Also if you like walking - there are a lot of options around the peninsula and along to Plaka.
It isnt cheap but isn't expensive. There are A LOT of English people who go to Elounda (regularly) - but its not full of sports bars or English breakfast places!
A really good place for a first timer to Crete or Greece.
Everybody is friendly and its a very chilled out place.

Elunda is a little fishing village that has grown with the tourist industry, loads of taverna's and restaurants easily keep you going for two weeks, some nice bars as well.
We go in May or September, September is still up to 30 deg and the sea is lovely and warm, it is a lot quieter and relaxing with older people being the main tourists.
The town has two good beaches, It overlooks a bay that is guarded by Spinalonga Island formerly a leaper colony and before that a Venetian fort, worth a visit by boat from the harbour.
Along the coast a couple of miles in a Taxi is Placa a charming place to have a meal or a drink in the evening, has some very good restaurants with a beautiful view of Spinalonga.
The other side of Elunda is a large town of Agios Nikolaos Lots of shops and things to see even more restaurants.
We hired a car for a few days and went out and about there are a few interesting arclogiclde sites within an hours radius, Kritsais a very old village inland up in the hills, it is worth a visit with lots of craft shops and taverna's and nice views,
We have been to Elunda 4 times and will go back next year hopefully.

The holiday homes are cultured, there are no vendors on the beach, or loud music. There are a lot of rocks in the sea and the fishes are biting :D, so it's worth wearing water shoes. It's a calm and clean city, the locals are nice, the food and drinks are amazing, they give you big portions. There is a lot of wind in Elounda, but Plaka is really windy. There is some nightlife in the bars, but nothing rough. The vacation here is relaxing and pleasant.

Elounda is outstanding.A number of restaurants are on jetties streching out into Elounda bay.
The Blue Sea Cretan Cuisine and seafood restaurant located in front of my hotel was fabulous! Exceptional food and service at great prices.
Elounda and Spinalonga is full of lovely local shops selling beautiful items, many hand made.
The local people I found to be warm and welcoming.
The atmosphere was relaxed with plenty of available sunbeds on the sea front.
I felt no need to go anywhere else as I was staying for 1 week, although there were boat trips on offer along the sea front. I did get the bus to Agios Nikolaus for 1euro 80 each way around 20 minutes from Elounda.
Friendly staff, great and fast room service. Clean rooms, pools, water and beach. Variety and tasty food, including in room service, it works from 7:00 to 10:30 for breakfast and then 11:00 - 22:00, but there are some meals available for 24h.
Any of the staff is ready to help and resolve an issue with personal approach or find the way to solve it. SPA, restaurants and other services from other neighbouring Elounda S.A. HOTELS & RESORTS hotels. There is a free transfer between them.
Good location and great views.
Comfortable new apartment. Highly recommended. Well equipped kitchen, two nice size bedrooms with really good beds. Breakfast was really good and staff was helpful. In the centre of Elounda and everything is within walking distance. Even though central location, no noises disturbed sleeping. Elounda is really nice during Eastern, not too many tourists. Parking is included in hotel price, it’s 200 metres away from the hotel, a bit hard to find, even as we were given directions. We will return.
We stayed in Sapphire Zen Suit with Whirpool. Hotel location was very good. Shuttle service was very helpfull (whenever we called, they came and picked us) The views at Cool Living area and in the room were amazing. People (especially Efi in Greco Levante) and services in A La Carte restaurants were very nice. Good brands of alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks. The barmen Anastasia in Lobby Bar was very good and professional. Check in and check out was very quick and staffs were friendly.
Hotel was awesome! Loved that they had a gym! Beach front was not as nice as it could be , there is a boat rental company that is right there basically where you would swim.
Food was great, not cheap however was nice portions and well made. Drinks expensive but well made.
One negetive that I would say is the hotel is a taxi drive from everything. Keep this in mind if you want to do things around Crete. Walking is a bit far to any near by areas of interest.
This property is stunning and has first class service to match, four amazing restaurants and all the bells and whistles. The drinks were good, the food was good, they even left face masks and slippers at out bedside for turn down service. It was amaze! Loved every minute of it, oh and the breakfast buffet was not to be missed, there was literally everything you could imagine and more. Thank you Blue Palace for an unforgettable stay!
centrally located for sure. rooms are a bit small nowhere to put big luggage. breakfast was okay, eggs were always cold but if you ask for fresh eggs Sofia always cooked fresh ones. we had Sofia cook us a meal (1pm lunch)before our departure and it was delicious. if your looking for luxury this hotel is not for you but if your looking for clean and centrally located it’s definitely for you
very small quaint very Grecian hotel.
Great location and service. Anna and her team consistently went above and beyond to satisfy our needs and requests. Clean facilities with excellent breakfast. Centrally located and most top notch restaurants are within walking distance. The hotel can also help plan tourist activities and arrange transportation!!! Overall, an excellent place to stay in Elounda!!
Hotel set in beautiful location overlooking Elounda centre from the shores of Elounda Island. Quiet location but only a 10 min walk to tavernas. Studio was spacious and well equipped, set over three floors with a relaxing balcony with sun beds. Easy access to sea in front of hotel. Ideal place for a couple of nights to take in a trip over to Spiralonga Island.
This is lovely hotel with delightful caring staff. Nice to be able to cook simple meals. Shower good. Plenty of space for storage. Great position for everything that the beautiful town of Elounda has to offer. Great pool, bar area and the ability to leave bags for a late departure yet have a shower and change after a day out is great!
Relaxing, clean and well maintained 4* hotel offering magnificent views of Elounda.
Pool was a nice surprise!!
Few minutes drive far from anything you might need ,but far enough to keep the nights quiet and relaxing!!
Staff was amazing, very welcoming and helpful!!
Special thanks to the bar staff, keep up the good work !!!
Elounda George Studios exceeded my expectations. It was comfortable, safe and great value for money. This family run business was in an excellent location and the family included lots of extra touches to make you feel both welcome and valued as a guest. Would definitely recommend. Hoping to return soon.
I loved everything about this hotel ... the history (it was the first hotel in Elounda), the location (at the port. close to everything), the refurbishment (gorgeous contemporary design), but most of all, the kind-hearted owner (Nectaria, such a lovely, kind-hearted person).
The location was perfect as we could take a short walk into town but we were in a peaceful and beautiful place.
Kavos Bay is like a little paradise in Elounda! I can’t imagine a better place to stay. The staff are highly skilled and very kind and welcoming.
Marvelous views into the Mediterranean! This is a nice somewhat oldish hotel that has received a good lift-up in amenities.Very welcoming reception and friendly staff. All in all a lovely short stay. Wish we had more time!
The hotel really knows what Greek philoxenia (hospitality) means! Facilities were very good but most importantly the people working there were not only professional but also genuine and welcoming!
Bravo! 👏
Excellent place, there is everything that You need - superb hotel, hotel restaurant with tasty food and fresh orange juice in breakfast mornings, pool, bar, cozy beach, and a lot of white wine! :)
The property was clean, beautiful and located in a quiet part of
Elounda. The facilities were excellent and there was plenty of room for our family of six.
