The staff at this hotel are among the most friendly and accommodating I have come across. The facilities are excellent plus the restaurant serves high quality, good value meals.
The hotel's location is superb being a 1 minute walk to a large sandy beach with sunbed's and shallow, clean waters.
In summary a highly recommended stay with convenient access to Chania town, a very local beach and super accommodation and staff.

Great choice...
Great choice... Manousos (key staff personnel) was very friendly and helpful... breakfast was exceptional... the view from the window/balcony in the morning was magnificent... spacious room and everything we needed was provided. Just the right distance from the old town and the nice beaches near Chania (like Elafonisi, Balos and Falasarna).

I think Kalamaki is for tourists who are a family.
I think Kalamaki is for tourists who are a family. Kalamaki is very closes to many beaches. which is great for children. You would need transport to get into the city centre if that is your thing.
For us, we wanted to rest and Kalamaki was perfect for that.Having said all of the above the public transport system is perfect and you can get to the city centre of Chania /Chanion relatively quickly.

Kalamaki is a nice resort on the outskirts of Chania.
Kalamaki is a nice resort on the outskirts of Chania. It has several beaches, restaurants, and shopping all within walking distance. You can reach Chania quickly and cheaply by bus or in the other direction, e.g. Agia Marina. The residents were all very nice and helpful. We felt very comfortable and will definitely be back :)
Beautiful little gem of a find. Quaint small family run hotel. Good tasty food and lovely swimming pool area. Always loungers available. No one rushing to put towels out and disappear for the day! Comfortable beds, lovely sea and pool views, bus stop 100 mtrs away. Lovely little harbour and tiny church at end. Can hire self drive boats at the little harbour. Staff all lovely but big shout out to Raja(hope I spelled that correctly). Was lovely.
Relaxed atmosphere, pool directly at the sea with possibility to swim, exceptional international breakfast buffet, excellent restaurant, fair prices, big bed, kitchenette equipped, very clean, nice family beaches 1-3km away, many daytrip options, no high rises/big hotel complexes around, beautiful Chania 10 min by car, free parking, awesome sunsets
Thanks to Mike and his wife for making our trip exceptional. They are always there to help, advise and arrange anything. We had some great conversations and fun. The rooms are clean and spacious. No problem with parking. Pool is nice too. Close to restaurants and local shops. Crete is less crowded in the spring but more authentic.
The staff were excellent 👍 the location was a little outside the centre but the bus no.21 is outside and costs 1.50 if bought before in newsagents other wise is 2.50 or a taxis is15 euro.Overall I couldn't falt the hotel. Its pool and restaurant has excellent views and spotless as with rooms..
Beautiful place with amazing people. Owners are kind, helpful and talkative😊. Breakfast was delicious with some traditional food. Hotel have perfect localization, close to motorway. I will recommend it further, this was the best choice for one week holiday in Crete.
The hotel is near the beach and the bus stop that goes to Chania center.
The place has very good value for money which, in my opinion, is the most important factor. I'm not saying that it's the best hotel, I'm saying it has great value for the money that you pay.
Very good breakfast and nice small hotel in the quiet area of Kalamaki. Not too many tourists around. A few good restaurants around and a great beach around the corner with an excellent view. Nice and helpful staff in the reception and the kitchen.
The hotel is located in a great location with stunning views of the sea. The pool is an added bonus, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing break.
Great hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Location very good, close to Chania, many local restaurants around.
Room good size, bathroom clean and amazing breakfast options! Highly recommend and hopefully will be back!
A small hotel that anyway had everything we needed. We have been to big properties before but this was nicer with less people, always space for sun beds, good food and very clean rooms (deluxe).
We had a really nice stay at Kalamaki Mare! Manolis was very kind and helpful.
The rooms were really clean and we enjoyed the large balcony.
We can definitely recommend Kalamaki Mare!
Very clean hotel very clean rooms, very nice and helpful staff, great drinks, very relaxing atmosphere. Convenient store at the hotel. Very clean pool and pool area.
The rooms are great, the pool its just amazing there is an infinity pool 4-5 meters away from the sea and the food is great.
