Aside from the view, nothing. Such a strange place. We left for the airport ahead of schedule just to get away.
The beachfront Hotel Mati offers air-conditioned rooms with sea or pool and side sea view, just 1.9 mi from Rafina Port. A seawater swimming pool, a seafront restaurant and a snack bar are available.

We were welcomed with a smile and warm greetings. Informed us of the times food would be served, for evening and breakfast, asked if we needed anything, if so please ask. Helpful with directions to local restaurants. The hotel was super clean and fresh, our room had good view of the sea, clean, bed was comfortable.

Quiet local area with a couple of places to eat out.
Quiet local area with a couple of places to eat out. Good food and a small local shop. The hotel is around 40 minutes to Athens town, taxi's are between 35 to 40€. 48€ if you book through the hotel. Local bus is hourly but to get to Athens you'd need to change and then get a train. We only went into Athens for one day via taxi and crammed everything in. If you book a return taxi it's cheaper. Athens Site-seeing, markets and local shops are fabulous. We walked around Mati but it's in the suburbs so no site-seeing. but our holiday was to relax and Mati hotel was perfect for that. We'd go again.

We liked the pool and beach view from our room.
We liked the pool and beach view from our room. We liked the outdoor dining option overlooking the beautiful Aegean Sea and good waiter service. We really liked our early morning swim in the lovely warm sea, on our last day in Greece before the long flight back to Australia. That was a highlight. I would recommend Mati as a relaxing option outside of the hectic city centre of Athens. I wished we’d stayed there longer.

Mati is well located near the Athens Airport.
Mati is well located near the Athens Airport.
For arriving or leaving Greece a nice stop. Also if you want to avoid loosing days by travelling by boat or plane to all kind of holiday locations in Greece it is a nice alternative as the coast at Mati is nice and the views are the same as on many Greek Islands.
Use your money to rent a car and visit the Peloponesos and Athens at your doorstep.
Mati is a quiet and small village without many stores.

A newly built hotel situated a very clam & quiet area.
A newly built hotel situated a very clam & quiet area.
Hotel breakfast staff are really nice.
The gym is bit small and around the hotel very few activities as there only 2-3 restaurant and only one small shop available. Nearest supermarket is about 50min walk.
Also, if you don’t have a car then getting to Athens is not easy by using public transport as you have to take a bus and then underground. The bus service is not good as they don’t seem to run according to a particular timetable. Most of the time we had to wait 30-50min by the bus stop and then bus journey to nearest underground another 50min.

From the airport, it takes 20-25 min.
From the airport, it takes 20-25 min. Cost by taxi is €40, which should taken under consideration when booking for justba stopover. However, from the airport to Athens is €45-50 and very close 4* hotels seems not to be if checking via Booking.com
Kristen, the owner, is lovely and very helpful. The property is new and spotless clean, one of the best we ever stayed at in Greece. Bedding and towels smelled fresh and clean. Fully equipped kitchen and amazing patio garden. Pity we were there only for few hours overnight to catch an early plane, so we didn't get to explore the area or the beach. One amazing restaurant nearby. Very quiet being in a residential area surrounded by fields but 12mins away from the beach. We'll definitely go back if we happen to be in that area again.
The hotel is directly on a crystal clear beach. Room was clean and comfortable and balcony had a beautiful ocean view. The oceanfront indoor/outdoor restaurant had very good food and courteous service. The front desk service was top notch. The pool was nice with comfortable loungers and umbrellas. The smooth rocky beach made for an easy entry to a nice ocean swim. As the name suggests the hotel is in a neighborhood which provides for a quiet tranquil feeling. There are however a few restaurants and bars within a short walk.
The room was extremely spacious - we had a two bedroom suite - excellent for our needs? Lovely surprise upon our arrival with the sparkling wine and the chocolate cake. Water in the fridge - thank you! Slippers and more than enough body wash and shampoo. All really lovely "little" things that make such a difference. Beds, super comfy! On the day we arrived, winds were super strong so we could not enjoy anything outdoors to the hotel but can't help mother nature.
I found this a very good place to stay arriving from the airport. It was easy to find. I just took the right turn into Mati, went down the road towards the sea and there it was, on the left side.
The owner was always around to answer any questions or give information.
I'd definitely stay here again.
I was surprised it was not noisy from the airport
Beautiful beachfront hotel. Staff service was exceptional. Both Maria at reception who went above and beyond to accomodate our requests and Maria in the restaurant (yes, both Marias) who seemed to anticipate our needs. Both ladies were so warm and friendly.
Great hotel for our one night stopover in Athens. Wish we had longer with them!
We were there for just one night. We checked in quite late at around 11pm. The hotel staff was very friendly. We were worried that we might not get dinner because it was so late but it was all good with many restaurants open nearby at walking distance. Breakfast was also good. All in all, we felt that we could've spent more time there.
Loved the location; close enough to Rafina Port and the Airport. Perfect base camp for exploring Greece; lots more to this great country than Athens which is not far away as well.
The hotel is comfortable and the staff is welcoming! As stated in numerous reviews, they do go out of their way to accommodate you.
Breakfast was very good. The room was good and the receptionist was very friendly. She send us a taxi to pick us up and was very nice and helpful. We wanted just a place to stay for the night as our flight was leaving the next morning. We just stayed in the hotel and have dinner and breakfast in the hotel.
The staff at the hotel were amazing
Nothing was a bother they all went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and I can not stress how amazing they all were .
They upgraded the rooms for us to a sea view
Staff were brilliant ,hotel was great
Not a single complaint

staff was the best part! they were all so freakin sweet and welcoming! the hotel has a really nice pool with comfortable lounge chairs. not much to do near the hotel but we were looking for a place to relax with a pool so it was perfect!
The room was comfortable and spacious for 3 of us. The staff were helpful and extremely pleasant. The breakfast was wonderful and the hotel is located about 20 mins. or so from the airport.
Great location for our one night lay-over in Athens. 20 minutes from the airport but right on the ocean. Beautiful pool and beach access, comfortable rooms with AC.
The hotel was super clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. It is in a very good location to rent a car and visit the south coast of Greece.
