Fabulous setting and the food was fantastic!!! The hosts and staff were so extremely friendly and helpful and it was just a 10 minute taxi ride from Shannon airport making it very convenient for our flight out. They even gave us some carrots to feed to their shetland ponies and babies.
4 miles from Shannon Airport, Bunratty Manor is a small family-run hotel, just a 5-minute walk from Bunratty Castle and Folk Park. The Manor Restaurant serves local game and seafood.

We flew in to Shannon from London & used it as jumping off point to other areas in & south of Shannon. Convenient location. People we encountered were very friendly there, & really everywhere we went over our 4 days on the island.

We very much enjoyed are stay in are accommodation near Shannon Airport, we wasn't expecting it to be so lovely at Carrygerry Country House Hotel. It only took 12 minutes to drive to it from the airport and nicely welcomed at the door by Gillian and shown to are room.
Shannon airport, easy to park, easy to get too by car.

Shannon Airport was our point of entry and departure from Ireland. We stayed only on the night before departure. There is little to do in this town, but we found lovely accommodations to stay close to the airport the night before our flight home at the CarryGary country house. We also found a nice little pub/restaurant called O'Reagans in the Shannon Town Centre. The food was just ok, but the staff were super.

Shannon is a great place to fly in and out of.
Shannon is a great place to fly in and out of. Much better than the hustle and bustle in Dublin. Also, the area is beautiful and has all the things a traveler could want in the way of restaurants, accommodations, sights, and beautiful countryside.
We missed our flight so needed a hotel close to airport with 2 rooms. This hotel exceeded our expectations and turned a nightmare day into a fabulous evening. We cannot compliment this hotel enough, the atmosphere was so friendly and you felt you had turned up at a friends house. We sat by the fire with our drinks in one of their cosy lounge areas talking to other guests and then moved to the restaurant to eat. The FOOD was amazing.
Our only regret we had to leave before breakfast!
This place is beautiful. Besides that Shannon is really green and quiet, both Sean and Catherine are the most adorable, happy and friendliest person you might meet. The hotel is beautiful, clean and really comfortable. The rooms are really individual and inviting, really clean and up to a top standard. Next time i am in the area, i will come back definetly. Thanks for all your effort
Excellent choices presented in an elegant eye appealing way
Everything was delicious and healthy
I thought there would be a walking trail on site so a little disappointed that it required. Transport
Also I wonder why top sheets are not used in Ireland! We didn’t see any . A sheet between the quilt and the bed
It could save laundering the quilt covers
Very comfortable relaxing stay
Dawn is a great host, as there are no downstairs bedrooms, Dawn carried our suitcases up to our bedroom. The room was at the front of the house, nice size overlooking the garden
Breakfast was great, loved the berry compote, great selection for a cooked breakfast.
It’s close to Shannon Airport & Bunratty
Great location right across from the departure terminal at Shannon airport. There was no discernible noise from departing and arriving planes.
They provide free parking. However, this is not really necessary if you are returning a rental car, which can be done right across the street in the arrivals terminal.
We've stayed at the Oakwood many times. It is a great hotel with friendly staff and a clean, stylish environment. The bed and shower are always great, and the breakfast is fantastic with good quality food. Highly recommend the Oakwood as a place to stay in Shannon - we will keep staying here.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms small but cozy and clean. Great restaurant and pub with live music. Breakfast could be more varied but since it was complimentary, we didn’t mind. Only 6 min from Shannon airport so super convenient. Will definitely stay there again and highly recommend
Hotel was convenient to airport and local shopping centre within 10 minutes walking distance. Communal decor in reception lobby, restaurant and bar area was quirky. Staff friendly. Food exceptionally tasty and great value for money. Bedrooms large, clean with every mod con provided.
Shannon Springs Hotel was absolutely lovely from the moment we checked in till we checked out. The hotel staff are very friendly and efficient , food is gorgeous we had a lovely relaxing stay .The hotel is lovely and we can't wait to go back again. Thanks so much everybody
The hotel is a 3 star hotel, but it is similar to a 4 star airport hotel in quality and price, too. The rooms were well-equipped, the windows are a bit old but the noise of the airport is not disturbing. The airport is 3 minutes by walking which is great and relaxing.
The location is excellent, especially for early flights out of Shannon Airport. Also in a residential area safe for walking and a restaurant across the street. Very friendly staff and excellent breakfast, clean/beautiful room with a very comfortable bed!
I always stay here when I am returning home from Ireland, it is right across from the airport, so I just walk across to the terminal in the morning. Breakfast is always great and the rooms are always spotless.
The location is perfect for short stays if travelling to and from Shannon Airport. That’s really the main unique selling point. Other than that, there was nothing special or extraordinary about staying here.
Best stay we had in Ireland! Very comfortable and incredibly clean. The couple running the place are amazingly friendly and welcoming. Very much recommended
