Breakfast was delicious and had a great variety.
The staff treated as family, when my son forgot his iPad in the hotel, the staff reached out to us and genuinely tried to return it to us. They went above and beyond to help us just like a family member and we were able to retrieve it from the staff at the reception desk!. THANK YOU ! Hotel Margherita, we were so fortunate to have you, and you definitely treated us like a family away from home. Besides that the premises are beautiful and cleaned, comfortable, the breakfast was exceptional. We will definitely be coming back to you ❤️

The location was very good, please note there is not elevator and the unit is on the 4th floor. I liked that it was not in the exact center of the town, but off to the side, therefore not as noisy and busy. The view is exceptional and there are plenty of restaurants nearby within easy walking distance. It is ocean front, but there is a bit of a walk through the tunnel to access the main town to catch the ferry and shops, but Close walk to train station. After traveling in Italy for a month it was nice to be in a place where everything was new and clean.

The walk from Montorosso to Vanassari (SP) is very steep at each town with difficult steps.up and down. It is very beautiful but requires excellent balance and footwork for 300 meter of climbing at each town. The towns are special and the food is even better.

This is the place to stay if you have young kids.
This is the place to stay if you have young kids. We travelled with our 5 and 7 year old and we couldn't have picked a better place to go! Of the five towns, Monterosso al Mare has the best flat beaches that allowed my kids to skip rocks, search for sea glass and play in the water safely.
Very near the water is a playground that was clean and well taken care of. There were nice shops in the square with clean bathrooms and yummy treats we could snack on while the kids played.
A lot of people said that Monterosso wasn't as charming as the other towns, but it was pretty charming in the old part as we walked the streets nestled up past the playground.
We came in April and lucked out with weather. I could see how in the Summer it could get crowded and hot, but we felt like the crowds were minimal and the temperature was perfect.

Great town to stay at cinque terre if you come with familly.
Great town to stay at cinque terre if you come with familly. Was not all that touristy all things considered (as opposed to Vernazza, which was swarming with tourists). I would suggest to go out of season, because there is already a lot of people there (we went late november), I can't imagine what its like in July/august.

Location is perfect to visit the Cinque Terre if coming by car: the hotel is easily accessible from main roads and not inside Monterosso, and offers shuttle service to reach the town. You can then enjoy the Cinque Terre with the frequent train service. The room has been renovated recently and offer good bedding and bathroom in a quiet environment. The staff is exceptionally kind and helpful, and we felt like staying with family. Breakfast is generous and perfect to start a hiking day.
Staff were very helpful. Location was amazing, not too far from the train station and very close to the boat docking area. Hotel was super cute with an amazing rooftop and beautiful views. Breakfast was great as well. They offered me earlier check in as my room was available and I’m thankful for this :) I was there for only 1 night but was able to leave my luggage at the hotel until I left Monterosso. Definitely would recommend this stay to fellow travellers.
Fantastic location very close to many restaurants, shops, grocery store, and the best of charming Monterosso al Mare. Spacious comfortable apartment with lovely balcony, perfect for two. The apartment was a bit older, and not updated, but it has everything you need and is an excellent value in the expensive Cinque Terre. We stayed 5 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Would love to stay here again in the future, the locastion is ideal!
The location is perfect. Right in front of the Monterosso beach (the best beach in Cinque Terra). Monterosso is quiet but has a nice buzz and atmosphere in the evening.
The beach is great and lots of day beds to hire. Hotel Baia has its own day beds that you can hire. Breakfast is simple, breads, cheeses, tarts and pastries with coffee, teas and juices on offer.
Beautiful and delicious restaurants right next door.
We had friends who stayed elsewhere in Monterosso and told us about "small rooms" - not so with Hotel Margherita. Generous sized rooms, friendly staff. Reasonable breakfast. Excellent position - 5 minute walk from the train station, up a small incline but no trouble even with heavy multiple bags. After you check out, they can store your bags and there is a toilet and shower you can use if needs be
The building where this hotel is located is simply wonderful, a 17th century palace in the middle of the characteristics carruggi. We loved the private terrace in our room from where we could have a great sea and mountain view. The owner of the hotel is very careful to all requests and he is providing all the information needed to enjoy at maximum the stay.
Really would back if in Monterosso!
Monterosso is probably one of the most beautiful places I have been to. The hotel is centrally located. We were there in June, very busy, beautiful weather, but in the evening the crowds ease up, the bar next to the hotel is brilliant as was the restaurant next door. Just a beautiful part of the Italy and the world. Would highly highly recommend.
The B&B has a perfect location in Monterosso al mare, great views over the sea and comfortable rooms. The hotel has a free shuttle service available to get to and from Monterosso, which is very handy especially on the way back up the steep hill.
Marta was very welcoming and ensured we were comfortable during our stay.
This mountain hotel was exceptional in every aspect. Great location with free shuttle service into Monerosso. Nicely decorated and comfortable rooms. Super attentive and helpful staff with loads of useful information on how to make the best of a Cinque Terre visit. Free car parking, excellent restaurants close by.
Lovely hotel with an amazing staff. Friendly & helpful. Clean rooms and very nice lobby. Convenient to the plaza and train station. We stayed in Monterosso while we while we explored Cinque Terre area. We had a group of 15 and the hotel staff was great. Wonderful breakfast and beautiful patios.
The staff was friendly the rooms were simple but beautiful and my son and I had so much fun swimming right out front! It was a lovely little village and easy access by train to the Cinque Terre. I highly recommend this property it is a tremendous value considering the other hotels in the area!
Great hotel in great location. There is a small refrigerator and tea pot in the room. The owner Albergo is very friendly, he gave us all the information about Monterosso and Cinque Terre, he helped us a lot. We are very thankful and definitely recommend this hotel for everyone.
It was a more central location than our other Monterosso hotel and loved the shuttered windows that could open out to view the street below. Charming. Nice spacious room—with couch and bed in one area , bathroom enclosed with the roomiest shower we’ve had in Italy! Loved it.
The location, the friendly staff, the new and clean rooms. Elena the host was very kind and helpful. The rooms were perfect and the location of this hotel is wonderful! We loved our stay and would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone visiting Monterosso
The hotel is right in front of the beach and in walking distance from the centre of Monterosso and very close to the train station.
Room was nice, clean and quiet.
Personnel was extremely kind and friendly.
Would definitely go back!
Really useful and frequent shuttle bus service to & from the village. Hotel is located on a hillside, with stunning views of the Cinque Terre villages.
