Convenient location, smart TV, all amenities provided including face mask and bath powder. Comfy bed and even provided iron. I would see this hotel be a great option for someone who is also on a business trip. Parking support provided for parking tower. Air purifier in the room was appreciated. Ice machine on top floor. I would be back.

The person at the front desk was really nice when we checked in, which was a good start. We liked that they gave us free toiletries (face masks, moutwash etc.) and the room was impeccably clean. Also, we could pick our own pillows, which was cool. We were offered a free drink when we arrived, which was a nice surprise.

The San'nai-Murayama Stone Age village museum site on the outskirts of Aomori was amazing, with many fully reconstructed thatched dwellings; very atmospheric!
Slightly further south west of the town is the spectacular Hirosaki Castle, with arguably the best cherry blossom display in Japan, (mid April).
Framing almost every photo there will be the astonishing Mount Iwaki, which looms sheer out of the landscape behind the castle. Easily as stunning as Fuji.
The coast road to the west of Aomori is beautiful and rugged, with a shoreline onsen pool at Fukaora.
Aomori has the best seafood anywhere south of Hokkaido. Try the uni!

I came to Aomori for the Nebuta Festival.
I came to Aomori for the Nebuta Festival.
It is a great, spectacular event. Perfect for families.
The Nebuta Museum has some great exhibits that gives a flavour of what the festival is like - but without the drums, fireworks and atmosphere.
Unfortunately I booked too late, and only could get a room for one night.
If you want to see this, make sure you book early - as the accommodation sells out quick during the festival.

If you staying in the city and planning to visit nearby...
If you staying in the city and planning to visit nearby hirosaki city
you probably need no more than four days to do everything
first few important things to say
public transportation it's very different from Tokyo trains are not rapidly moving from one city to another
in transport in the city it's not very common it's bases but walking will be the better choice anyway because it's a small city
I will highly recommend the number one restaurant in aomori that have the nebuta show name : Takakyu Nebutanokuni - literally people coming from all over Japan
the staff will try their best to communicate with foreigners but remember at least the minimum required Japanese will help you there
(in general outside Tokyo and Kyoto English is not common at all)
important to say that aomori like sappro have the freshest seafood in all around JAPAN
and few of the main attractions in the city Aomori
( the famous build your own bowl market - A factory - nebuta museum and the Main St ) - two days
hirasaki main attractions - two days
( just google tripvisor hirosako XD)
visiting around winter ? I highly recommend renting a car and driving to the nearby ski resorts not only you'll be welcome bye unforgettable views of snow in the horizon but an amazing ski resorts that I will highly recommend
BTW I visited around mid Mars and skiing is still available around those times of year !
I took effort in writing this down and I wish I could get I review like that when i was planning to visit hope it will help you !
(I couldn't provide photos but I wish I could do beautiful city with beautiful scenes and things to do )

Took a 2-day trip to Aomori.
Took a 2-day trip to Aomori. On the first day, took the JR Gono line on the prefecture's west coast and enjoyed the beautiful rugged shores' landscape in winter. For the night, stayed at the unique Aomori city, which is famous for the snow-soaked streets. The next day, took a bullet train to Hachinohe, where I rented a car for the Towada lake via the Oirase gorge. The gorge is beautiful in winter, when you can see the frozen waterfalls. And the lake is especially a good place to visit in winter, due to the reduced number of tourists who venture to reach there.

Aomori the northern city of Japan in Tohoku prefecture.
Aomori the northern city of Japan in Tohoku prefecture. There are many hotel near Aomori Station but I chose Mystays hotel because of the good reviews by other travelers and it so close to the station. Aomori has it own unique cultures
If you travelling to aomori you probably heard about the famous festival taking place around August why I'm writing this ?because the hotel will present you first of all with a beautiful artwork of special aomori ''nebuta'' festival this is something very unique about this hotel and why I liked it even more seeing it as in person location is great 15 minutes walk to any direction you get many kinds of activities and things to see and to do Main Street of restaurant in shopping is 5 minutes away
Very nice ryokan, with good private and public onsen available. The room was more than enough, with fresh towels and yukata each day I stayed. The staff were very nice, and I was able to ask them about certain things with combinations of English, Japanese and translation apps.
I got injured before coming here sp the location is a bit far away from things, but very close to the station (2 minutes?). Note: not a negative as I chose this location because of the location originally.
The best of the APA hotels that I stayed at during my 2 week visit to Japan. While compact, it provided all the necessary amenities. The bed was notably larger than the others I had encountered at APA hotels, (though this did leave slightly less floor space). My request for a room with a specific view was honored by the staff. While not terribly fancy, the breakfast was a lovely mix of options, all of which tasted great.
The food was very authentic and the staff were most helpful. This is quite and experience and definitely something one should do when visiting Japan. Something incredible happened to me - I forgot my earrings behind and with the help of the police in the next town I visited, they contacted the owner who kindly posted my earrings to me at my next stop ... free of charge!! Unbelievable service and so honest and kind.
Just picked the cheapest hotel in town (with a 2 twin bed configuration). For the price, it's not bad tough.
The walk is a bit long (20 mins) from the rail station but it's located not too far from main road, and hosts many shopping stores and convenient stores. Staff allowed us to checking a bit before the official checkin time (to be noted as some Japanese hotels would only do it exactly at 3pm).
We loved the restaurant for breakfast. Although a simple spread, it had Western and Japanese food. They had sake, dessert, soup, salad and juices. There are restaurants nearby like Doutour, Ootoya and Gusto. It's a very short walk to Aomori Station, post office and public library. Nice room with ofuro (bath tub). They have a nice set of amenities in the lobby. They have coin laundry and dryer.
All about the host. Had an amazing time chatting with her and the traditional breakfast she cooked was delicious. Felt like my own Japanese mom taking care of me. The room was nice and I didn't have any problems with the wifi. They did lots of special touches to make you feel at home. The location is fantastic very close to the station and the value you get for the service provided is stellar!
Great service, with check in and check out being a breeze. The path from aomori station to the hotel was almost entirely sheltered too, since the hotel is right in the shopping street. A lot of amenities nearby too, including a Lawson and a dept store. Room was clean and bed was comfortable.
Staying here has been the most wonderful experience! If you want to get to know Japan the traditional way you should definitely stay here. The cozy room, a warm bath and a tea to fall asleep and wake up. Also it’s close to the station and therefore perfect for exploring the north.
Hotel may not look impressive from the outside but the room is huge by Japanese standards. It's clean and comfortable. The reception staff were most helpful. And most of all, it's chef Nobu-san from Shin Creative Dining served the most delicious breakfast.
The property is very good, 5-7mins away from the Aomori train station. Breakfast is superb, with both continental and Asian choices.
The bathroom is really clean and comfortable.
Guests can request taxi from the front desk
and pay directly at hotel
Great location with many good restaurants nearby. A Lawson convenience store is also just out front. The facility was clean, beds comfortable, and staff helpful. On site parking was helpful as we rented a car for the time in Aomori.
Practical to stay if you travel from Tokyo to Niseko and have to stop over because it's too late to take the next train to Sapporo. Staff was very nice and helpful. Good layover hotel and its walking distance to the Shinkansen.
The receptionist could talk quite well in english, the rooms were clean, the air conditioning was very good and there was a pleasant smell. The hotel Is in a good position in Aomori, even if the city Is quite small.
The boiler broke down, but the hotel provided free tickets to the nearby public bath facility.
The staff was very kind, let us keep the luggage at the front desk and helped us check in earlier than usual.
Standard business hotel right next to Shin-Aomori station, very convenient for travelers who need to be next to the station.
Check in was efficient.
The breakfast had a decent selection & tasty.
Excellent breakfast, huge range of options and delicious food. Big room for japanese business hotel. Location on main shopping street, not long to walk to train station or harbour area.
