If you want to experience authentic Mexican culture, this is the place to go. The hotel is well located in the centre of the small village, with the local market twice a week just across the street and a cafe with very good coffee and pastry just at a minute walking distance. I loved the hotel’s territory, beautiful garden and a magnificent view on the mountains. Didn’t get a chance to try the outdoor pool as it was a bit chilly, but it looked nice and clean. The room is comfy, warm water may be a bit tricky and some insects may occasionally slip into the bathroom, but that is common for any local property. The owners are very friendly, Xitlali speaks English very well and is a very nice person to talk to. I loved my stay at Casa Centeopan, thank you so much to Xitlali and her family!

The location was amazing, very central and only a few minutes from the main shopping srteet. The property itself was beautiful, very clean and the brekafast was delicious.

The place is great value for money. Perfect location, clean spacious room (mine had a large balcony from which I could see the Tepozteco and mountain range), great staff and tons of freebies (drinks and bfast).
BUT!
there is a dog next door that BARKS all night!!! I tried headphones, ear plugs….nothing would work! and it’s not a few barks here abs there, it’s all night!
This hotel MUST do something about the neighbors dog or replace all the windows with triple pane. there’s tons of windows btw which is great during the day when the dog presumably sleeps.
