Pools were nice. Grounds well maintained. Restaurant was good. Staff helpful, especially the valay guys for getting transportation to town. Seemed to be more geared for the all inclusive crowd, instead of those who want to experience Mazatlan.

Was there for the he eclipse. Everyone was very kind bd and hospitable EXCEPT for the obnoxious behavior of the owner of our last night booking (through booking.com) of Hacienda Del Mar who refused to honor our prepaid booking , saying they didn’t rent for us boy that be night…..with no warning . (We were standing at the door at 3pm of the day of our booking

Mazatlan was the first place we visited in Mexico 25 years ago. As with all of tourist Mexico it has changed considerably. Now I live full time in another, quieter coastal area. We came to Maz this time for the eclipse. Normally, it's too crazy for us alumni of the party-hardy school and we were not disappointed.

BEFORE YOU EVER GO TO MAZATLAN, MEXICO YOU MUST BE ABLE TO SPEAK FLUENT SPANISH. I COULD NOT SPEAK ANY SPANISH AT ALL. I CAN ONLY SPEAK FLUENT ENGLISH. I WAS JUST VERY FORTUNATE TO MEET SOMEONE WHO WAS STAYING AT THIS HOTEL OASIS WHO SPOKE FLUENT SPANISH BUT AT THE SAME TIME WHO ALSO SPOKE FLUENT ENGLISH AT THE SAME TIME ALSO AT STAYED AT THIS HOTEL OASIS. THE RESTURANT WAS ONLY OPENED TO A VERY LIMITED BREKFAST MENU. I DO NOT SPEAK ANY SPAINSH AT ALL. I ONLY SPEAK FULENT ENGLISH. I WILL NEVER EVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL OASIS EVER AGAIN. THIS HOTEL OASIS IS BASICALLY A HOTEL WHO CATERS TO THE VERY BUDGET MINDED MEXICAN TRAVELLER WHO BASICALLY SPEAKS SPANISH. ALSO THIS HOTEL OASIS CHARGED ME A TOTAL OF $910.45 CDN. DOLLARS FOR THREE NIGHTS. THIS WORKED OUT TO ABOUT $303.48 CDN. DOLLARS. I STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT THE HOTEL OASIS WAS ABLE TO CHARGE ME THIS RATE BECUASE UNFIORTUNTATELY I WAITED TO THE VERY LAST POSSIBLE MINUTE TO BOOK THE HOTEL OASIS. OF COURSE AFTER THE TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE OF THE SUN WHICH TOOK PLACE IN MAZATLAN, MEXICO ON MONDAY APRIL 08/2022 WAS OVER OF COURSE THE HOTEL OASIS OF COURSE LOWERED THEIR NIGHTLY RATE.

The Plaza Machado and Centro Histórico were out favorites.
The Plaza Machado and Centro Histórico were out favorites. We love watching students at the music school and strolling the streets. The monthly art walk is great. It’s a genuine Mexican city with beaches. What could be better?

There were a few nice beaches and the market in old mazatlan was great. Buses were easy to get on and off and a good price.
Golden zone smells like sewage. It is busy and hardly anyone that can speak English. So loud!! It is over populated and filthy. Definitely would not recommend golden zone or the malecon. The beaches along the malecon and golden zone are gross!!! One little section in front of the marriot that is ok, otherwise run!! Best beaches are at emerald bay, deer island (grab a boat in front of holiday inn for 150 pesos return) and stone island (get a boat at the old marina for 35 pesos return)
If you want to shop, avoid the malls, Malecon and golden zone. Everything you could want is in old mazatlan and at way better prices. Research cab fares before you go. One will charge 300 and the next 800. Download uber so you have a back up way to get around.
Have fun, explore the small towns around. Glad we went, but won't go back!
We got an upgrade for a room with a balcony and it was entirely worth it. Huge suite, splendid view of the garden and the sea. The hotel is distinctive and beautiful architecturally, unlike most of the new anonymous highrises. It also has a small hotel feel and a super friendly staff. We were literally two minutes from our room to the very nice beach bar, huge pool, and the uncrowded beach itself. Very convenient to restaurants and shopping. Couldn't have been happier any place else in Mazatlan.
Great and helpful staff.
Wonderful water pressure and large shower area.
Right on the green bus line that takes you to both the “Golden Zone” as well as Centro. 30 plus minutes and 12 pesos and you arrive. Nice pool and right on the ocean. Room was on the smallish side but doable.
Small balcony with two chairs overlooking the ocean.
If not being in the center of things, l recommend this hotel.
Reina Del Mar was a very comfortable and welcoming stay. It was located perfectly for walking tours around Centro, to the Observatorio and the ocean front. There was an abundance of good restaurant choices close by. The included breakfasts were a great start to our day and the pool area was extraordinary! We would not hesitate to book back into Reina Del Mar on our return Mazatlán visit.
Our stay at the Holiday Inn was excellent! We were treated so well by all of the staff! We were upgraded to a suite at no additional charge. What an amazing ocean view! You couldn’t ask for a better view!
The day we checked out they also let us stay a few hours past check out time. Overall, a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this hotel!
Located in the middle of the Golden zone, the hotel is very close to the beach. The suite we stayed at had two rooms and more importantly two bathrooms. The kitchenette and living room areas were spacious. Drinking water was provided. The WIFI was acceptable. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
Convenient location across the beach with own underground pathway directly to the hotel. Good internet connection. Great stuff at the reception. They have undergoing construction right now - I would rate the hotel 8.0 after they finish the work.
The hotel restaurant serves decent food and at a reasonable price. This is a recently constructed mid-level modern hotel. The oceanview room offers impressive views. The resort has direct access to a very beautiful part of the beach.
Very spacious apartment, clean, well equipped and in a great location in a quieter part of the Golden Zone. Guick and easy walk to the restaurants and beach but nice to a bit outside of the very busy center.
The hotel has only been open a few weeks. Everything was new and clean. The front desk staff was very accommodating and helpful. Rooms were nice and roomy and comfortable. Definitely worth the price.
Very helpful host, well equipped apartment which is in a great location. There were recommendations for activities and restaurants which was good as we hadn't been to Mazatlan before.
Hotel is very well located.
The room is clean and staff is very friendly.
My recommendation - get a room in the back side, otherwise lot of noice come from the street.
