Hotel Basalto, hotel in Punta Mita

Located in Punta Mita, a few steps from Careyeros Beach, Hotel Basalto has accommodations with free bikes, free private parking, an outdoor swimming pool and a fitness center.

Beautiful and relaxing. We came for a one-night kid-free getaway from our family staying further south in Bucerias, and it was exactly what we needed - perfect for sitting and relaxing by the pool with a book, wine and snacks (the octopus tostada was amazing!). The room was bigger than expected and very nice and comfortable, we loved the hammock on the porch and sunset views.

HOTEL EL CORAL, hotel in Punta Mita

Located in Punta Mita, a few steps from Punta Mita Beach, HOTEL EL CORAL has accommodations with a restaurant, free private parking and a bar.

I absolutely loved the workers in the restaurant. The food was amazing and Jorge who shucked oysters was so much fun. We learned a lot from him. Our original room had some issues so we moved to another room which was amazing! This was the room with the terrace access. We loved the location right by surfing spots and lots of surfboard rentals and paddleboard rentals. There are a lot of little restaurants down the street. It is an older authentic property and we were very happy with it. The rooms look newly remodeled so that is great. We booked the room that had an ocean view. Top floor. If you are a second or below you won’t have an ocean view. The restaurant and Palapa are in the front. This is great place for families, walking the beach, paddle boarding and surfing. We will be back and I recommend room number 16. That is the one with the terrace.

The town itself has two options for dining. Overpriced food for the people in the compound as we called it (where all the very expensive hotels are, you are not allowed in unless you are staying there) or street food. The street food was amazing and highly recommended. Unless you are there to surf I would not go to this town. We drove to La Lancha surf break every day. It was perfect for us. But if you are going for a beach trip you are going to the wrong place.

Punta Mita has still got the small fishing town vibe, but doubt it will remain that way for long. It has a nice stretch of coast line too the north from stinkeys Beach ( appropriately named ) through to La Lancha, but the beach walk is tide dependent, needs to be or going low. If your looking for the best surf there, head to La Lancha, 15 peso trip 1 way, the stop to get off at is at the oxxo, you will see cars parked across the road which is the entry track. The track is about 1km, you will see croc signs, but more of a concern through the wet season. 4 days there is plenty too explore the region.

Punta de Mita is a wonderful village on the water with a variety of restaurants and activities. It is a great location to surf and fish, and sightsee- whale watching, and snorkeling near the islands is a highlight. People are friendly and helpful- taco and burger stands on the east side of town are great. Learn a bit of Spanish and have a memorable stay!

Very quiet, chill beach town that is quickly growing in popularity. Spotless beaches and bougie beachside accoms hug the coastline. Great seafood is easy to find and ranges in price. Cheap and delicious taco stands are abundant in town as well. We rented a car from PVR and visited nearby Sayulita, San Pancho, etc. Pro tip: do not speed! Policia are very active in the area and love to “ticket” (read: shake down) foreigners. We stayed at hotel basalto and it was absolutely fabulous. Couldn’t recommend the area more.

Punta Mita itself is not as it appears in brochures and advertising blurb - some high end restaurants that are over priced and rely on their beachfront appeal but back from these the area is generally dirty and very poor. The gated villa and 4 seasons complex is obviously a whole different ball game but you pay through the nose for access to it.

With the exception of the hotel, particularly the rooms really needing an update, this resort hotel is fantastic whether, for a family or for adult couples. There are choices for beach or pool - family or adult - any for dining - which was always delicious. The staff was friendly, attentive, and responsive to requests including our request for connecting rooms. This was the second stop for our vacation and it definitely was a great way to cap off our first family trip after covid. Thank you four seasons Punta Mita.

I have very mixed fillings about this place. In general everything was ok, the staff was very friendly however one lady at the reception didn't speak english and on each question she answeared YES which made a lot of confusion. The room had amazing ocen view, had very comfortable bed. The food in the restaurant was very tasty. There is no much in this area so we stayed mostly in hotel. The pool was nice, there was no proper beach access but nice spot to take good pictures.

Xiobella is an intimate hotel wonderfully situated on a picturesque and uncrowded beach with mild waves good for surfing and other activities. The hotel is cleanly designed and the views from the rooms, restaurant, and pool are epic. The staff was exceptionally accommodating and authentically friendly. The restaurant offered an excellent variety of selections for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and the food was very good..

The location its pretty good, but the hospitality services of the hotel and the organization of the staff is awful, i had to step in in management and provide feedback about how they are working with COVID restrictions. Even do the hotel has 8 restaurants, they decide it was a good idea to only open 1 for breakfast. The hotel its short staff and not able to provide good service to the amount of people that arrives.

The hotel was beautiful. Our room had a beautiful view of the jungle and the mountains and we didn't miss having an ocean view. Staff was amazing and food was great. Surprisingly, we were was not bitten by mosquitos! Beautiful spa with a cold dip and giant relaxation area. This hotel was relaxing and we had no problems, but I would not return because of the size.

It's a very nice small hotel with 6 rooms facing the water. Rooms are easy and well decorated, wifi is good (reliable and fast), staff is kind, easy self check in and check out, easy access to the beach, parking and it's more than safe (the front gate is locked and there are cameras everywhere). AC works good. The beach is front is perfect for a relaxing day.

The facilities are quite amazing. Specially loved the private beach on the back of the hotel rather than the pools. You have more privacy. Even though the water is warm there's quite some rocks. Breakfast is top notch, buffet you have a bit of everything highly recommend.
