A visit to the the Kroller Muller Museum in Otterlo is highly recommended! Aside from a great collection of fine art, there are also beautiful sculptures scattered around the huge property grounds. Its a very beautiful place both outside and inside. This is a must visit when going to the Netherlands.

Otterlo - being one of the entrances into the Hoge Veluwe...
Otterlo - being one of the entrances into the Hoge Veluwe National Park is exactly what you would expect from a town with about 2000 inhabitants. It has everything you would expect: A well-stocked super market, a few other shops, a handful of restaurants. While it is served with bi-hourly buses from nearby NS stops Ede, Arnhem and Barneveld, if you go anywhere Hoge Veluwe you will need a car.

The Kröller-Müller museum with its sculpture park is a pearl as is the surrounding park where you can see around on free rental bikes ("white bikes"). A deser-like landscape with sand dunes and dead trees in the middle of a perfectly normal forest - a bit otherwordly.

Cute, small country village/town.
Cute, small country village/town. Lots of farming in the area. Nice dining available - be sure to make reservations in advance if staying over the weekend as seating is limited at the best venues. Near the National Park. Great biking options all around town.
We received a warm welcome from Erna (and a bottle of wine)! The house was very clean, with luxury finishes, well equipped (all the appliances worked), nice, fully fenced garden (perfect for our dachshund). The bathroom was new with a nice, big shower. We took our small barbeque with us and had fantastic weather to enjoy this part of the Netherlands. The two electric bicycles were very handy and welcomed :) Loads of bicycle tracks in the area and the town Otterlo and its people are absolute gems. Everything was perfect and we had a great time.
We loved our stay here! Amazing atmosphere. Arrived took the lodge and immediately felt relaxed. The decor was very thoughtful, there was nice music playing, and the place smelled amazing. The room was cozy with a private terrace. Enjoyed watching the stars by the wood fire at night. It’s lodged in the forest and felt very peaceful. We visited to celebrate our birthdays and the hotel staff surprised us with cake :) We only stayed for one night and came home feeling rested as if we had been on holiday for several days.
• cozy & luxurious, beautiful hotel at 8 min walking distance from the Woluwe park
• confortable and big room with terrace downstairs
• really nice wellness center and work out room
• amazing gastronomic restaurant Cepes for dinner and the breakfast (good it’s not another buffet) is a la carte concept to the table, really good and local
• professional and available team with good recommandations
• cute attention on the room as I am pregnant
• perfect getaway for the week end
The bungalow was clean and comfortable, located in nice surroundings near the Hoge Veluwe National Park. The host's communication was fast and perfect and he provided us with detailed information about the accommodation, the check-in was easy. The village of Otterlo is also very lovely and there are a lot of possibilities for bike trips. It is a suitable place for trips all across the Netherlands, even places like Amsterdam and Hague are within reasonable distance.
Perfectly located in the Veluwe area. Close to beautiful walks and bike rides in amazing nature as well as Otterlo center with local restaurants. The studio lodge was spacious, modern and comfortable. The kitchen nice and the outdoor space perfect. The bed was super comfortable. Added bonus was you could rent the jacuzzi for a few hours. We thoroughly enjoy our stay and hope to be back in the future.
Ivo was very helpful. He provided a separate microwave oven when the one in the combi oven wasn't working. He also provided a tower fan which was very useful during the hot days. We really loved Otterlo and all the forests in the area, including the National Park Hoge Veluwe. Trips to Amsterdam by car took only one hour at the most.
Great location and accommodation. Outside pool was great and right next to play area! Reception staff were friendly and accommodating! Kids loved this place, great indoor play area also, and fantastic for a country side run and walks. Very close to Otterlo town and amenities (like spar which had medication).
The house is located on the edge of a forest near Otterlo and is a superb place to stay, so peaceful and with a lovely garden. Very close to Het Hoge Veluwe park and to a small shopping centre. The host was exceptionally kind and helpful. We would be delighted to stay much longer.
Future guests should pay attention to the instructions from the owner. She provides instructions on accessing the key. This is a privately owned unit, not a hotel with a front desk. Know the unit number and key instructions.
Nice unit. Great location near the Park. Enjoy!
Lodge is absolutely beautiful. Very friendly and accomidating staff. It was past a certain hour for a particular dish, but the kitchen staff happily made it for us . The food and wine were both excellent. The shower was amazing !!!! It's very much a gem in the Netherlands
It's a surprisingly modern holiday home: Both the kitchen equipment as well as the furniture and general look are up to an apartment in the city It's quiet in a good way (mostly - a bit of garden work was going on during my stay), and a short walk from Otterlo itself!
Location is excellent, close to Otterlo and the national park. Green area with much bird life. Goo starting point to explore the veluwe. Facilities nearby such as a spar and restaurants. Free parking and bike rack available.
Location, friendliness, cleanness, amenities. Comfortable bed. Cute balcony. The restaurant Cèpes was incredible with their offering of a four course surprise dinner. Right across from the national park. We will be back.
The staff were excellent and went beyond the call of duty. An office worker made us ginger tea, though she didn't realise the hotel provided it and we had to tell her where the ginger had been kept earlier in the day.
