We decided to stay a couple of nights for our anniversary. Our stay was very relaxing. The facilities were excellent, high quality and comfy. So comfy we even wanted to buy the pillows to take home. Which aparently they sell! :D
Grand Hotel Opduin is a 4-star hotel less than 656 feet from the beach on the island of Texel.

Best crew in the world. So kind and attentive, also catering to our needs as a family with four young children. Beautiful location in the dunes. Great breakfast. Nice swimming pool for the children.
The intimate Hotel Greenside Texel is located on the edge of the picturesque village of De Koog, 10 minutes walking from the North Sea beach.

My dog was able to come with us and there was a little gift basket for him. We booked a room with a “backyard” so having that as an option is great. SPA is a stretch but indeed had a great time in the sauna. What I really enjoyed though is how clean it is overall. What is more, the area that the hotel is built around is perfect for walks, there’s a forest not far from it as well.
Located in Den Burg, 3.8 miles from Ecomare, Hotel Brasserie Den Burg has accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. This 3-star hotel offers a bar.

Of the four larger villages on Texel, Oudeschild is the quieter one and it has the additional benefit of the quite busy harbour where you can take seal watching or crab fishing tours, or simply enjoy the views of the large and small sail ships passing through.
The maritime Kaap Skil museum is definitely worth a longer visit. The highlight is a very large interactive exhibition in the basement (that took more than 4 years to build) with detailed info about the role of the island in the golden age, the great Dutch ships and life on the island back in that day, including a massive VR installation and ship models of incredible detail.
Outside the main building you walk through a 17th/18th century village with original workshops and living quarters, including a large windmill that is still operational today (you can buy locally milled flour there).

A quiet little town which might not be the prettiest on the island but we really liked the honesty of the working port and the great fish shops. There is a great outdoor swimming pool which was a 15 min bike ride away in Den Hoog which became our first stop every day as we explored the whole island by bikes hired locally. A great healthy and relaxing holiday even though the weather wasn’t brilliant.
Comfy place, nice and quiet. The B&B itself is a quiet as the part of town it's in.
Oudeschild is a lovely little harbour town. Good restaurants ('t Pakhuus is amazing). Counted four different providers of seal spotting boat tours.
We rented bikes at the ferry port and cycled to Oudeschild and then cycled around the island from there.
Great location. Really enjoyed our stay.
Was more than perfect!
Very cosy room,a lot of facilities, the room and bathroom was spotless and Mrs.Bettina welcome us friendly with an warm attitude,we felt meeting her like we've met a friend!
I just wait to go there back and to stay more time
PS Amsterdam's hotels management should visit this place and to take lessons about hospitality!
Fantastic appartment in a beautiful spot on the edge of the world. The attention to detail was almost equivalent to staying in a proper 5 star hotel. If you ever stayed in an Oberoi, you’d know what Im talking about.
