Our husband traveled here for a quick trip to St. Augustine for our anniversary. This location was about 22-25 min from St. George Street so not ideal for those who want to be in the heart of St. Augustine. But, we were Ok with staying a little farther out. Bliss by the Sea was Ok for a 1 night stay. If you are looking for a place with lots of amenities, room service, and/or restaurants on the property, etc, this is not for you. It's a quaint and small inn with a few rooms and one person working the front desk who you have to call if she isn't there. Our favorite thing was the view. They have a pier you can walk on (at your own risk) and it was so peaceful as we listened to the birds and watched the sunset. The room was "ok"... a little musty so my dust allergy would have definitely reacted if we had stayed longer. We stayed in Lotus Cover (room 1) which was on the 2nd floor with a view of the bay. It had a jucuzzi tub that we did not use and the shower was IN the tub which was a bit challenging. Not a room for someone unable to get in and out of a large tub. The bed was very firm so not the most comfortable, but surprisingly we both slept well! There are restaurants and fun eatery places near by and the public access to the beach is close. All in all, it was an OK stay for the price we paid.
This Saint Augustine, Florida hotel is less than one block from the ocean. It features an outdoor pool and a hot tub while each room contains a microwave and a refrigerator.
It was perfect for me & my little dog. However, for other people the only thing missing would be some beach accessories, & notes/tips/coupons for new area visitors for dining/entertainment/outdoor activities, etc. There's a lot to see & do there, but newbies may not know.

It's a huge beach and you can walk for miles and miles.
It's a huge beach and you can walk for miles and miles. It's pretty quite may be due to this time of year and it's a great place to relax just by walking and listening to the sound of the ocean. The water temp is good but due to huge waves, you won't be able to swim there so we just jump in the waves,
The location was great-it's right on the beach. It's very quite, the view was exceptional. The building is not like those huge beach front hotels which is exactly what we wanted. It was probably almost empty due to the time of year which was another plus for us. It has that rustic look you want to see in the beach house and we really like it. We even wanted to extend our stay for a couple of days but it was too late to make the arrangements.
We always love staying at the Beachers Lodge. The location is perfect as is the price. And the staff is always helpful and friendly. We have not enjoyed a Stay with out pet yet, but think it's wonderful that this is a pet friendly hotel. Keep up the Great Work - we'll see you next year!
The location of the property is excellent. Front Desk (only open weekdays til 12pm) communication via text messages was very easy. Casey was extremely friendly and helpful. The whole complex is clean the pool area was nice as well.
Not very transparent with Kayak OR Booking.com with the $204 "cleaning fee" For $895 for two nights I would have chosen a Five Star hotel. The place was old, dirty (VERY DIRTY) and beds were in need of upgrade.
My favorite place to stay near St Augustine. Beachers Lodge is beautiful, clean and affordable. We have been here 3 times and I would go every year if I could.
