The room was clean and quiet. The automatic shades were perfect and allowed us to get some much needed daytime sleep by blocking out the sunlight.
Staff was friendly aand welcoming, and there was a wide selection for breakfast.
BTW: THE LIGHTING IN THE BATHROOM WAS EXCELLENT. I'D LIKE TO SCHEDULE A PHOTO SHOOT THERE. (just kidding about that last part.) Great light for doing make-up and hair.

I stayed there before. I like the homes for the money. Better than a motel for sure. They're not new, but nothing to really complain about concerning the accommodations.

The breakfast selection was very limited. The night clerk was late opening the door to for access to the breakfast area. When access gained he, (night clerk), had fixed himself four pieces of toast with butter and jelly. When I made one piece of toast I had to ask to butter and jelly, which he went in the back to get them. Of my 4 day stay I had to go out for breakfast due to the extremely limited and under stocked breakfast bar. Of my 4 day stay the room was only cleaned once. I had to take out the trash for three days. I also had to request clean towels. The one chair had two missing rollers and was unable to be used. I requested someone mix the toilet seat and it was never done. I purchased a screw driver and was able fix it my self. Could only have coffee in my room 2 days as the cream and sugar was never replaced while I was there.

Crossville is a small city in Cumberland plateau, one of the areas with the best climate in the country because of the high elevation and low humidity. Traffic on Hwy 127, where all the market is, is hectic, otherwise good. Not really cheap prices, and not many outlets for cheaper alternatives, if you are cost conscious. State taxes are high, probably because of no state income taxes. If you like parks and nature, you will like it here. And the autumn colors on the trees are gorgeous. We visited a (not large) number of restaurants, and food was everywhere good but sometimes costly and service, in some small local places, inexistant. For a combination of decent quality and low prices, the Hibachi Super Buffet is a place to check.

The restaurant selection is good.
The restaurant selection is good. Places to shop are limited. There are a few craft and agriculture festivals during the summer. Basically, it's a very small city not much to do. There are nature parks. There is a military museum. A few days stay would be fine.

Lots of downtown traffic and lots of parks and recreation areas around town. Lots of dining options, but many small local restaurants were packed and unable to handle the traffic. Nice, easy roads once out of the downtown craze. Ridiculously low speed limits, the whole city is a speed trap. Clean, light mountain air. Lots of lakes (with some beaches, too) around.

Cossville is located right off Interstate 40 so it's convenient to get there from either Knoxville or Nashville. It can also be reached by traveling on US 127. Quite larger town than I expected, with lots of hotels, restaurants, and shopping. One of the main attractions is Cumberland Mountain State Park, which has picnic areas, a pool, cabins, hiking trails, and a nice restaurant. No admission fee to this park.
I traveled from Crossville to my home in metro Atlanta via US 127, US 27, and some Tennessee roads and it was a very scenic route. All of the roads were well maintained.
I spent two days in Crossville and I wish I could have stayed longer.

We were there for a play at the Cumberland County Play House. A great place for families! We ate at Arby's (chosen by our 4 yrs. old grand-daughter) Our hotel was within 10 mins of the Play House and we had a very good time and visit in Crossville.

Great, friendly community.
Great, friendly community. We had difficulty choosing places for late evening gatherings of family and friends for dinner and drinks. Not many Crossville dining choices open late night (say 10p and after). Casa Grande was great all-around, but closed at 10p, so we were rushed that night. There were a few chains to choose from. We ended our last night at Bootleggers for drinks and enjoying family company and conversation. A bar w smoking (I'm a smoker, but don't like smoking bars). They had Karaoke, great staff and outside deck area w 2 Pool tables. All in all? A great trip and will do it again.
The location was very private and close to the crossville downtown area. House had comfortable beds and had plenty of room. Coffee maker, trash bags, and all cook utensils. Bathrooms had plush bath towels.
The outside decks were large and had a ping long table. Parking and lighting were perfect.
Our host made us feel welcome. We had a very pleasant stay.
Desk clerk was sweet. Apologized when she realized she needed to move us to a pet friendly room. Apologized when we made her aware of how dusty and unclean furniture was and that wood door and walls were horrible because we did not want to be charged for damage. I have pictures for proof upon request.
It was a delightful blast from the past. This is the kind of hotels we would stay at when I was growing up.
The staff was awesome as we stopped to get out of the winter storm. The hotel room itself could have been cleaner.
Otherwise a great stay
Awesome managers were very friendly and helpful. They were very accommodating from the first call to the Baymont through our checkout almost 2 weeks later.. Nice to find a clean pet friendly hotel.
All & all, the few inconveniences weren't enough to make my stay unpleasant & I would stay there again, especially given that they had the best price in town!
Location, privacy, full kitchen, comfortable beds , nice water pressure, parking, easy access to dumpers, access to pools. More privacy than a motel/hotel.
