I was booked there for 7 nights in room 234. Room was great but toilet would not flush at all. The water just swirled around in the bowl and wouldn’t go down.
I reported it to the front desk and the gentleman filled out a work order and told me it would be fixed the next day. Well, it wasn’t so I went back to the front desk and they moved me to room 244. Before moving all my things, I checked the toilet there and it did the exact same thing . . . swirled around and would not go down. I returned the key to 244 and the front desk rep offered no other solution.
Must definitely be a plumbing problem.
I was not going to keep driving to a convenience store every time I needed to use the toilet, so I checked out after 4 nights and went somewhere else incurring an additional expense.
It’s a nice motel, but doubtful I will ever stay there again.
The Comfort Inn & Suites hotel is conveniently located off of Interstate 65, just one mile from the Cave City Convention Center and Dinosaur World theme park.

Went to the town of Horse Cave for overnight stay after...
Went to the town of Horse Cave for overnight stay after spending the day at Mammoth Cave Natl Park. Reserved two non smoking rooms at Horse Cave Motel more than two weeks in advance, upon arrival, one room reeked of smoke. When asked to be moved was told there were no other rooms available. Room had no heat, shower was missing the cold water handle and so was inop. Bedspread had cigarette burn holes in it. The room was grungy, there is NO resemblance between the pictures on this site and the reality. Slept on top of the bed all night, had to leave the windows open because of the cigarette smell. Sink plunger did not work so there was no way to really wash up (since the shower could not be used). Upon check out was told that things had been taken care of. Did not sign a credit card charge slip. Later in the morning, received a message that the reservation was cancelled, then that we had been a no show and that all fees had been waived by the motel. However, I now have a charge for two rooms +pet fee on my charge card. Business practice at this motel are the worst. Next time I would sleep in my car or find a different accommodation. There is no place to really eat in town, better to stay/eat on the freeway.

I really enjoy Horse Cave.
I really enjoy Horse Cave. It's a short distance to Cave City. I ate in Horse Cave at a place called Healthyish, and it was amazing. I shopped a few antique stores between the two cities, and the staff everywhere was friendly. My favorite restaurant is actually in Cave City; Watermill. They have a great breakfast selection, as well as a lunch and dinner buffet with a salad and a dessert bar. Their catfish is the best I've ever had. Places are easy to find, and the tourist attractions are wonderful.

A roadside motel, cheap, reasonably clean.
A roadside motel, cheap, reasonably clean. Refrigerator and microwave in the room. Milk house space heaters are the heat source, as the heating unit not working. The paper thin walls allowed you to hear the conversation of the guests in the next room as if they were in our room. As they say, you get what you pay for, and if getting a good night's rest is important, look elsewhere!

Horse Cave is a small town.
Horse Cave is a small town. There wasn’t a whole lot that we did right in the town itself, but we found it a great little hidden gem to stay at while visiting Mammoth Cave and the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green (which is about 35 minutes South of here), and a few other places along the way!

There wasn't much to do at this exit, but it is only a short drive to restaurants. If you're in the area to explore the caves and don't care for being in the middle of shopping and local traffic, this is a perfect spot to wind down and rest.
Great little home town hotel. Met by the owner when we checked in. Such an amazing guy. He made us welcome, put me and my daughter in a quiet room up front.
For what we paid, I was blow away. Clean, quiet, close to town. Had everything we could ask for.
Is it a 5 star hotel, no, is it 5 stars for the price, absolutely. It's 10 stars for the price and location. If we ever are back in the area we will happily stay there again.
Family run and family taken care of hotel, couldn't have asked for anything better.
My boyfriend and I enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of the motel. We are definitely going to stay at the Horse Cave again. The gentleman that checked us in was really thoughtful and helpful. I appreciate everything he did. The next time I think we will get a king room even though I have some issues with my legs I think I can walk up the stairs. I really enjoyed our stay. It wasn't long enough stay. We want to Thank the staff.
location. but they shut the pool down for rest of day because thunder storm came threw. even after it had past and radar showed it was clear, they left it closed for rest day/night. it
did not open again untill next
day @10 and check out is at
11. so waisted $ trying to let kids swim . I’ll spend extra $ next
time to get different hotel. and breakfast sucked.
I didn’t get to stay because the hotel clerk disappeared and made me wait 20 minutes at the front desk. Then came back and said a room wasn’t ready? At 4:00 pm? Place was dirty nasty. Had to sleep in my vehicle and wash up at a truck stop. Won’t use booking.com ever again.
The staff was very friendly and I was able to get the toilet paper from the front desk with no problem. The rest of the room was comfortable and clean. The hotel had some of the best breakfast for a hotel that I've eaten.
Breakfast was great, convenient location to all the caves and town and really friendly staff. This is my second time visiting and staying at this hotel and if I ever visit again I’ll be sure to book here!
Breakfast had a good selection. The staff at the hotel were all very friendly and tried their best to accommodate. I loved the cats outside! They were so pretty and very friendly.
