Hampton Inn & Suites Lake Placid, hotel in Lake Placid

This Lake Placid hotel offers free WiFi, and guest rooms are equipped with a microwave and refrigerator. Lake Placid Olympic Sports Complex is 7.8 mi away.

this was a great location for my daughters basketball team, large lobby with lots of seating to hang out at night, outdoor seating area also with firepit, playground and lake right across the street and a walkway up to Main Street for eating and shopping right around the corner. Pool area was clean and towels well stocked. Only complaint was that only 1 of the 2 elevators was working due to maintenance so it took a while to wait for that but would definately stay here again. Ozzy at the front deask was so friendly and accomodating!

I went Sunday to Thursday in mid December, but it seems like "season" doesn't start in Lake Placid until Christmas day. A lot of attractions and restaurants are closed on Tuesday and Wednesday and it was raining the only day the speed skating oval was open for me, so I had bad luck and would plan better next time. I didn't get to do bobsled experience and other things from the legacy site and was even turned away from the Gondola at whiteface as a sight seer. So just make sure the things you want to do will be open when you go.

Lake Placid is an absolutely beautiful little town. Everything is within walking distance and there is so much to see and do. It’s pricey but there are so many beautiful little shops and places to eat. Walk the lake or climb a mountain, you’ll keep busy for days.

The hotel was great, very clean, beds comfy, great breakfasts! Staff was friendly and personable. Nice keurig coffee machine in room, so you can bring your own k cups if you want. They only have Green Mountain brand. They also have decaf. Location was the best! Not very far from anything! Loved the top of Whiteface Mountain, can access by elevator or hiking. Was a continuous fragrance of pine, reminded me of Christmas. While at the ski jumps we had a chance to see some of the 6-14 year olds practice. That was great! We had a very good meal at Black Bear Restaurant! Getting around town is very easy. All in all a great place to stay for a few days.

we participated in the Olympic venues passport choice and had a wonderful time exploring and partaking at each venue. the food at every restaurant was great, we liked the creperie and black bear restaurants. driving around was easy. We did mini golf, the visitors cruise on lake placid, had a manicure, made a bead bracelet, and browsed the shops. We also went to High falls gorge. the scenery in the area cannot be beat, the trees, mountains, and lakes are awe inspiring. i think that was my favorite part.

As indicated in the reviews, the hotel is old. But very clean, they cleaned every day for 3 days. We didn't notice any smell. Spacious room and bathroom. There is a hairdryer, iron, and plenty of towels. The appearance of the hotel scared me, but everything went great! The pool and hot tub were excellent, we enjoyed using them. Pool and breakfast across a busy street. you need to be very careful. We would have liked to add eggs and vegetables to breakfast, but we were ready for a not rich breakfast. Great hotel for this price!

The Japandi aesthetic of this hotel is welcoming and relaxing and feels on par with many boutique designer hotels but at a reasonable price. Though still undergoing renovation, I found the hotel to be clean and well appointed and the staff to be lovely and helpful. The location is just steps away from the shops and restaurants and there is easy access to parking and the major thoroughfares in and out of town. I have no doubt that I will return to Bluebird on a future visit to Lake Placid

Nothing in particular. Except it is located close to Lake Placid where I was assisting hikers on the NtP trail. I only stayed two of the seven days I reserved and checked out. Moved to the Bluebird hotel for the next five days. The carriage house was far less attractive than it appears on their website. The pool pictured was not available and looked like it had not been used in years. Hoping to get a refund from “Bookings” as the motel says they are responsible.

Great value. Helpful and friendly staff Location is very convenient to Main Street (without the jump in cost!) Parking is easy -- not true of many hotels in Lake Placid Mini-fridge and (working) microwave -- again, not available in all hotels in LP Firepit, bar-b-cue and picnic tables available for guests -- again, not available at all hotels in LP I will book at the Maple Leaf Inn for Rugby weekend next year

The hotel setting is very rustic looking. Nice ambience music is very calming as you come into the building hallway. Coffee and Tea is available Lots of lounging space where you can relax and enjoy the sunshine. Loved the shampoo, body wash, lotion collection as the smell feels like you just came out from the spa. Hotel staff at Bluebird were all welcoming and friendly.

The Crowne Plaza is ideally situated in Lake Placid. The hotel itself is very cozy with several lounges that make your experience feel luxurious and wonderful views of the lakes and the Adirondack’s. While there, we took a picturesque walk around the lake. Main Street is easily accessible walking from the hotel.

Everything we needed to enjoy lake placid! Conveniently located a pleasant walk to both the nature trails and the downtown, Wildwood is a lake front property with an unbeatable value. We've stayed at the 5 star lake placid Lodge and another chain in town. Wildwood exceeded our expectations.
