Ease of registration, ability to get accomodations we wanted.
Quality of Hampton Inns - we used HIs a few times. Large cities and small, they're good.

The New Market battlefield tour and Virginia Museum of the Civil war are top notch. A small fee for the museum tour and video but well worth it, it has an excellent description of the Civil War battles from beginning to end.

Very impressive historic town with well maintained Civil War era buildings. The people were friendly and courteous and the town was clean and the rural setting was breathtaking. I visited this area when I was a child and revisiting it brought back fond memories and did not disappoint me at all.

The caverns are amazing in this area so it is worth staying in a beaten up run down town for a cheaper hotel but it is just that. The employees of the stores looked just miserable and none of them cared about their service. At burger the employees were outside in the parking lot watching their friends rev their engines. Dunkin’ was great.

Location was good close to Luray and Skyline Drive.
Location was good close to Luray and Skyline Drive. Went to visit the civil war museum Visit the local the Vineyard and the local factory showing how they make potatoe chips. Southern Kitchen is an excellent place to eat good food and very friendly staff.
The room was nice and the beds comfy. I thought the breakfast was better than expected. In general things are a bit old and slightly unkempt. But otherwise we had a nice time staying at this hotel while visiting the Luray Caverns.
The beds were comfortable. The room was clean. The location was great! Pool was a lot of fun. Miller Grille food was exceptional!! This place is a great price and a great hotel!!!
There was a nice view from our room. It was nice staying in a non-chain hotel. I recommend taking the 8 minute walk to the Southern Kitchen Restaurant for breakfast.
