The breakfast was good but we had stayed there before a year ago and the food was a bit better then, Some improvements to the food would be a good idea but still was good.

A very chilled place - just very serene place to go.
A very chilled place - just very serene place to go. It can be a little expensive for the type of food offered in several restaurants - price doesn't really match portion of menu.
The people are friendly, there's a few activities to do if you're adventurous.
It's a great place to stop-over for a couple of nights and then continue with your journey.
The Waterfront is very lovely. I suggest you there.
The Mall is also great for shopping - don't get lost though because there's about 4 mall/square areas.

If you are planning a trip along the garden route then Knysna is a must visit spot. The views across the lagoon and the Knysna Heads are amazing and so many options for accommodation from camping by the lagoon to 5* hotels.
It is also a good base to explore the Eastern end on the garden route right up to Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth).
There is also a number of fantastic mountain passes to drive up to the Karoo, but make sure you have a good vehicle and a good head for heights. Knysna is fantastic and well worth a visit.

As a place to stay, Knysna is rather small, and moreover less secure after dark than other places. Knysna and its islands/view points can e.g. easily be visited from Plettenberg where there is much more choice in terms of restaurants. 1 day is more than enough for Knysna.

The views are magnificent.
The views are magnificent. The surrounding areas are also very worthy of visits. Plettenburg Bay, Tsitsikamma, Sedgefield and Wilderness are excellent. Something great to do every day!
Knysna itself is a little run down and touristy, after all it straddles a motorway (N2), but there are places that are tucked away which are charming.....one goes there however for the views!
Rudi and Diwan and their fur babies were great hosts and made us feel at home. Location is central to everything shos, restaurants and Waterfront. Knysna elephant park is not far abiut 30 mins drive. Room and property was comfortable, clean and cosy. Loved sitting in the garden and listening to the birds. Loved that the dogs were so comfortable with visitors and kept us company, but were never a nuisance. If you not a dog lover, don't worry they are only around if the owners walk about. Parking available on the property.
We loved our stay at One on Bollard! The house is gorgeous, the rooms are immaculate and well appointed, and the best parts are hosts Diane and Rob. They couldn't be more welcoming and helpful - they provided some wonderful suggestions for restaurants, and even offered to make reservations for us. The breakfast was gorgeous and delicious, and almost everything is homemade - even the yogurt! We could easily have spent a week here, and will be back next time we're in Knysna!
What a hidden gem. Found this property by accident while searching for accommodation in Knysna. Absolutely loved our stay. Beautiful gardens. Putt putt, games room, pools, jacuzzi all on site, no need to go anywhere for something to do.
Especially enjoyed the long walks alongside the lagoon, spectacular views. Accommodation was clean, neat and tidy. Serviced daily which wasn't expected. Staff are very pleasant.
Double Dutch is magic, and the ladies who run it are amazing. A short drive off the main access road to Knysna, the B&B has amazing views of the waterfront and the Knysna Heads. The property itself is beautifully designed and maintained, and the rooms are excellent. Breakfast is prepared by the owners themselves and starting your day watching the scenery is bliss.
Neat and clean. Beds are comfortable. Room has a kettle and fridge and has TV with Open View channels. Outside is a pool for the hot days. Parking is off street and safe. Host very friendly and they also serve breakfast. Safe area and close to a Spar for those that need something. Waterfront and Knysna heads within 5 min of the establishment. Very pleasant stay
Fantastic view on Knysna's lagoon and the Heads, you see all of the town from a few blocks above main street. Panoramic terrace. Rooms #1 to #3 are huge and have incredible direct view over the lagoon and the town. Staff was very friendly. furniture is a bit old fashioned but very tasteful, bed is very comfortable. Strelitzia was very helpful.
the units are beautiful spacious and provide everything you need to make your stay comfortable. i like that you have the self catering and hotel restaurant option. the gym sauna and heated indoor pool is just a big bonus and i loved spending time there. breakfast is amazing good quality and fresh with lots of variety.
The view over the Knysna lagoon towards the heads is spectacular from the large porch. The house is elegant, tidy, and well-equipped with plenty of seating areas. The host supplied ample wood that came in very handy. The beds were comfortable.
Situated right on the waterfront, next to the Knysna waterfront, it has every amenity you will need while on holiday. It is truly a magnificent home. The best part is that the home has an inverter, so we not inconvenienced by loadshedding.
The view of Knysna heads and the lagoon was exceptional. The room was large, airy, clean and beautifully decorated. We had a huge bathroom and the hospitality was fantastic, delicious breakfasts - best stay in Africa in 6 weeks.
The location of the hotel is very good, is out of the city, is the perfect place to have a vacation. It has a beautiful view as well. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I will definately come back again for the holidays.
Great accomodation and value. Beautiful & safe location with fabulous views. Helpful and friendly staff. Impressive breakfast buffet and dinner menu. Lovely garden areas.
I highly recommend the hotel.
Such a beautiful and tranquil spot on the lagoon just by the Knysna heads. Spending the morning boarding was a bonus. Chalets are clean and well stocked. Very impressed with the unit. Thank you.
Lovely comfortable apartment with a stunning view of the Knysna Lagoon. The host was most helpful and obliging and the complex secure and walking distance to the Waterfront and shops.
We loved that the hotel was in walking distance of the Knysna Waterfront. Breakfast was good, nice selection. Pool was convenient and perfect for a relaxing swim after dinner.
Such a beautiful place - spacious, comfortable, and right on the water. Also right at the Waterfront attractions. Excellent place to relax, and appreciate the lagoon area.
