Great town with many shops, restaurants, bars, and cafes.
Great town with many shops, restaurants, bars, and cafes. Saturday morning market was impressive. Coast line tram service runs up most of the Belgium coast (we had a day in Ostend). Sea front is clean tidy, beach is massive (beach huts available for hire). Train station is accessible by tram.

Although a small town, the centre is very full with shops, food stalls and restraurant. Fries, ice-cream and chocolate are all there. Although as :Belgium, I'd expect way more chocolate shops.
The beach is long and not crowded. It is fitted with cabins that can be rented.
There is an amusement park (and water park) which can make for a fun day out. You'd need to book it.
There are not halal food places around, and the closest thing is across the French border (~20KM).

There was a market in the centre that was lively and full of interesting things. De Panne is expensive and even moderate restaurants cost Euro 70/80 for two. THe beach is long and sandy so ideal for those with children.

Hidden gem.
Hidden gem. Miles of soft sand, with sheltered eating/drinking restaurants on the beach. Miles of promenade, easily accessed with the hire of a bicycle or cart. The town has remarkable architecture, reflecting th history of late 19th century grandeur right up to on going developments.

Lovely town, in summer or winter. People are very friendly.
Lovely town, in summer or winter. People are very friendly. Good selection of shops and restaurants. Lots to see and do. Coastal tram access. Easy access to the motorway. The beach is huge and it never feels crowded. De Panne is a wonderful example of the best of Belgium.
Our first stay at this place (but definitely not our last) which is situated a minute's walk from the beach, 3 minutes from De Panne's main shopping street and 7 minutes from the town square with its restaurants and bars. Right on the coastal tram line.
Smooth check-in/check-out thanks to good communication from the owner. The apartment was spotlessly clean throughout, tastefully furnished with a well-equipped kitchen. Super-fast Wi-Fi.
Free on-street parking. We always managed to find a place within a few minutes' walk.
Friendly staff, central location but still quiet. We had the apartment, which is around the corner of the hotel in a separate apartment complex. The apartment was very clean with ample space and two double beds. The apartment complex has parking spaces for 20€/night although it is relatively easy to find a spot in De Panne. Breakfast is good and served in a pleasantly decorated room.
I made the reservation very last minute, like a day before, but this was not a problem. Everything was clean when we arrived, there was some food in the fridge, clean towels in the bathroom. Every morning at 8am the breakfast arrived. My son loved the bunk bed and wanted to stay longer. It is really close to Plopsaland, which was great in our case.
We were there in 4 people (2 children) and I must say that the flat is fully equipped, everything you need. Everything is really well thought out. The location, in my opinion, the best of all, away from the center, peace and quiet. De Panne is my favorite place and the apartment was really great.
Location is great for driving to Plopsaland. Underground car park was simple to access and was secure. Beds were comfortable and room had a Smart TV. In floor 4 the window felt a little far away and small.
Really kind and helpful host. The location was really close to Plopsaland De Panne and 10 minutes from the center by tram. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. I would definitely visit again
Excellent breakfast with plenty of options. Better than expected.
De Verloren Gernoare is located directly opposite De Panne station and very close to Plopsaland with free parking available nearby.
This is a classy, well appointed hotel. It was a pleasure to stay here. The hotel is beautifully designed, the room was quiet and elegant. There were little details that made the stay very pleasant
room was large and clean, beds comfortable, breakfast was great and Pascal is the perfect host.
Having the tram station 2 minutes walk away makes going into De Panne really easy.
This was a very good experience. The hotel is quiet at night and my room suited my needs perfectly. The breakfast was very good a standard Belgian presentation, I think.
