Very nice place to stay.The room was spacious, facing to the river ( the waterfall didn’t disturb us, but you can hear a little noise in the room). Chef restaurant was great! Costs but worth it.The old water mill is nearby and we had a nice walk there after the breakfast.Breakfast was good, very best croissant😉

The lakeside walk is beautiful, with Alps on the far side. The architecture of the old Town is beautiful. There are grocery stores, pharmacies, gift shops, dress shops, cheese shops, chocolate shops, cafés and restaurants within very easy walking distance everywhere between the lake and the famous Collegiale where Reformer William Farrell once preached. The central Marché is an especially picturesque spot for a coffee or a meal at one of its many cafés. There is a funicular to Chaumont and its charming Petite Hotel which serves excellent food. Next to it is a zip line fun park for kids and playground for littles. The Neuchâtel museum is worth a visit. 2 lakeside restaurants with outside eating are great: Beau Rivage and Waves. Compare with the swiss prices it was cheap and offered a good quality! Its very close to the central just a min walk, and close to the trainstation as well. Very nice hotel!
