A small surcharge gets you a much larger room, in our case complete with a Finnish exercise bike! Plenty of storage for our stuff, not much of a view but neither my husband nor I cares about that. The bathroom has lots of space for toiletries, too (though it's a bit tight). We've stayed at the Vienna House Easy Coburg many times and it's reliably clean and comfortable, with little noise. The only flaw in our room was that my bedside light didn't work (they were waiting for delivery of the bulb), but as there was a larger lamp nearby, I had no problem reading in bed!
You get a pleasant welcome from the check-in desk, and in our case, they know us from long experience. The breakfast at Vienna House is particularly good, and the staff there keep the buffet filled up, with plenty of hot and cold dishes and a coffee machine that provides a wide array of coffee drinks plus hot chocolate. It's a long-ish walk to the center of town but not a problem if you like some exercise. And Coburg is definitely worth a visit: full of buildings dating back to the Middle Ages, a palace, and atop its main hill the massive castle known as the Crown of Franconia, the Veste, so impregnable that it was a safe haven for Martin Luther, who translated part of the Bible and a separate book of psalms into German there under the protection of Duke Johann the Steadfast.

The room is simple, but comfortable. The Hofbräu team was also very helpful. The region is great, close to many restaurants and the castle. Breakfast is simple but fair. And also you have the experience of sleeping at a Hofbräu, so get drunk and go get some sleep :)

We went there for the Samba festival weekend, it was really amazing and worth checking if you are into this type of thing. Mixed ages, everyone was dancing on the streets, great street food, excellent performances and great small or big Samba bands from all over Europe! The after-party at the Congress Hall was great and indoors!

I've traveled through Germany for about 50 years, coming almost every year, mainly for work. I am not sure I had ever heard of Coburg. I picked it because my plans changed at the last minute and I had to find some place on the way from Frankfurt to the Hartz region. It turned out to be a lucky choice.

Historically very interesting.
Historically very interesting. Could visit Prince Albert's residences easily.
Could walk around to all town locations easily. Place has a charm,
Huge disadvantage and minus point is that everything shuts down in the evening too early. Almost impossible to sit outside and/or order food after 9 in the evening. Coburg turns into a bit of a ghost town after dark!
Shame.

The castle is amazing, for a small city it has an amazing collection and the grounds are lovely. Enjoyed the Market Platz and the surrounding streets. Would have liked an additional day to view some of the other museums.

I love Coburg, a quaint walled town rich in history.
I love Coburg, a quaint walled town rich in history. The town square is a great place to have coffee and watch the world go by. I visit primarily for the doll festival which is held annually in nearby Neustadt. Doll museum in Coburg is always worth a visit.

We stay every year in May for the Puppenfest.
We stay every year in May for the Puppenfest. Love the antique shop and individual shops. Excellent restaurant in the corner of the main square. Also WONDERFUL chocolate shop with choc bars of Victoria and Albert. Could stay much longer but the Puppenfest in other towns beckon. Don't miss the new Glass Museum just outside of the town.
Loved the apartment and its direct access to a large outdoor patio area. The bathroom was enormous and shower great, only drawback was that because it was so powerful it tended to leak onto the floor a bit. Easy to clean up, especially in the hot weather. Our daughter decided to visit for 2 nights at very short notice. The hostess kindly brought along additional bed linen and towels (plus 2 ventilators to cool the apartment) and we were charged only €10 extra a night for the extra person. Great service.
A lovely, well designed apartment in a great central location. Modern, clean and well kitted out. Loads of natural light. Good internet connection and a handy office area, ideal setup for working and leisure time. Great value for money vs a hotel. Dog friendly.
We parked at the anger car park (10mins walk) over the duration of our stay (8 days) without any issues. It’s 3 Euros a day (coins only), and you can get a ticket for 3 days at a time.
Breakfast was excellent and service was great, The location is steps from the historic core of Coburg. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful; when I was having trouble looking for the parking spaces, the person on duty came out and flagged me down to show me where to go. They made an excellent restaurant suggestion to us.
The hotel is charming and we were given room #105, a suite with a sunroom. So nice! The bathroom was large as well. Breakfast was good and the receptionist was very helpful. Parking was in an outside lot next to the building.
location was quiet and only 10 minute walk to city center, convenient also to the castle. very nice staff. parking was generous and hotel was easy to get to without hassle of driving through a city center.
Ringhotel Stadt Coburg has easy access from/ to train station, in a walking distance to the city center. Rooms are comfortable and well equipped including a quiet fridge. Staff is very kind and helpful.
Cleanliness, location, the hotel itself. Rooms were large with a great shower and bathroom. The wife loved the lace table cloths and plates cups and silverware. We would come back here in a minute.
This is a very nice hotel very near the Coburg city center. Our room was clean and comfortable. Hotel has lifts and limited parking. Nice staff. Very good breakfast with eggs cooked to order.
Very good hotel. With room where people can sit together inside. Also place outside. Parking place was also with enough place. Breakfast was only optional. I didn´t have it.
The breakfast had the most variety of anywhere we stayed in Germany. The hotel was a few blocks from the city, but we were able to walk to a restaurant for dinner.
The position is excellent, easy walk to cafes and the market square, the hotel breakfast is plentiful and the restaurant is lovely sitting in the window areas
