We were returning from Sweden to the Netherlands, staying overnight in Flensburg. Me and two of my kids.
Had a room for four (double bed + bunk bed).
Nice, clean, spacious. Separate bedroom and living. Modern large bathroom with huge walk-in shower.
Place has a beautiful garden with tables and benches and a small area with a swing and slide.
Breakfast buffet was good with much choice.
No restaurant but got a tip from the staff for a nice place at just a ten minute walk.
Peaceful and quiet area.
Very pleased with the stay. Would definitely go again.

So sad that we only stayed for one night. The city is very lovely and people are very friendly where we had breakfast and late lunch.
The fishing harbour is very authentic, we learned a lot about the history etc.
If we stayed longer, we would've walk farther to the other side of the bay and go to the beach, but it's an excuse to come back visiting this city.

Our visit was timed around a performance at the Theatre which we particularly wanted to see. Besides that, we found the art museum’s current exhibition well chosen.
The town is compact, full of variety, offers plenty of restaurants and unusual boutiques. A pleasant, international atmosphere. The local university ensures an active, youthful feeling.

Nice and calm city with (saturday) market nearby.
Nice and calm city with (saturday) market nearby. We did not stay long enough to see Nordertor, or wiking museum, but I liked the market and did not miss out the Serpentine path/stairs up left from central station.

Flensburg is by far the nicest of the two large german cities in the north Flensburg and Kiel. We simply love the old walkingstreet in Flensburg and the market on saturdays are just fab. If you wanna have luch we recommend Die Weinstube im Krusehoff and for dinner Haxe mit sauerkraut und bratkartoffeln by Hansens Braurei OR Gnomenkeller wich is a really good steakhouse. Flensburg is a very cheap town to stay in, at Flensbed, which is a boarding house/hostel you can have a large room for just 40€ a person inkluding breakfast or you can stay at the old Hotel des Nordens just across the border from Denmark where you can have a 45m2 suite for just 220€ (use booking.com)

I was positive surprised!
I was positive surprised! The city center is very beautiful with streets, people is very open minded and the nightlife is also good. There are a lot of alternative cafe and stores in the city center. And is also a really good place to rent a boat and "sailing" between Denmark and Germany!

We really liked to walk through the city center and along the waterside. Very nice restaurants on the opposite side of the water from the hotel. We also particulary liked the pub that was not so far away. We ate at the Hansens Brauerei which serves German dishes and very good locally brewed beer.
We also went ot the Braasch rum shop and loved the local Flensubrg rum.
A good hotel in Germany, just over the from the Danish border. Good big room with good bathroom. Delicius breakfast buffe. Very interesting swimmingpool, where you can swim inside the building, but you can swim from inside to outside the builiding. Strange feeling to swim in the pool outside, while there were a bit of snow in the air. Good big boble bath, which is running all the time without stopping. Different kind of saunas. Shopping shop Fleggård just 100 meters away.
A very nice place to stay in walking distance to the pedestrian zone of beautiful Flensburg. Even though the place states"no parking", the street may have an available spot free of charge between 18 and 8, and just one block away, there is a reasonable paid parking lot. The room is simple but well equipped even with a simple kitchen corner. Comfortable bed.
The location was nice and peaceful and the rooms were charming and very nice. Have nothing but nice things to say about the staff, that really seemed to do their best for us to enjoy our stay. For such a relatively small hotel, the breakfast was surprisingly good and well stocked
We booked last minute 2 rooms and the rooms were close together as requested. The rooms were very big and with large windows ! Beside the nice view (3rd level), the bathroom was big, very clean. The hotel is very well located, easy to find and the staff is very friendly.
This is a beautiful little boutique hotel! I slept very well in an extremely comfortable bed, which I think is the most important thing. Top ratings for cleanliness, excellent quality breakfast, and friendly and accommodating staff!
Already more than 10 years i choose this hotel as stop to our from Denmark.
A good budget hotel, but it some more workover is needed, what they are doing gradually.
They always have served a good breakfast buffet.
Free parking.
Comfortable and clean room. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Walking distance from town centre. Very quiet despite located on a main road. Good parking arrangement with public carpark close to the hotel.
I was upgraded at the last minute, as there had apparently been water damage in the room I should have been in. Not exactly the hotel I would visit again. Their breakfast is cheap but super simple
Very good location. Very clean for a hostel. Nice staff, friendly, helpfull. Ideal location to go to the city. Rooms are really clean. The are really basic but after all it s not a hotel too.
A fine, well-run hotel in central Flensburg. Staff great, rooms fine, elevator, nice breakfast. Parking too, if you're lucky. If not there are two parking houses close by.
