It is a beautiful city with lots of historic places to visit...
It is a beautiful city with lots of historic places to visit. Amazing restaurants to try typical dishes and mainly the cheese! It seems difficult to access sometimes (mainly the old historic area), but taxis reach practically everywhere. Sadly, my trip was a business one and only for a weekend, but the city deserves more days to fully enjoy it!

Beautiful old city, lovely to just wander around. Slightly off the beaten track with not too many foreign tourists there, particularly in February. Speaking a little Spanish is useful. Would definitely recommend.

Carceres is a beautifully preserved old city.
Carceres is a beautifully preserved old city. The museum is very well set out starting with paleotonic times and there is no charge to go in. I also loved the Arab museum - only a relatively small building but with some many distinct rooms and full of the everyday things that were used. A real house, not just a made to look like one. Good ‘menu’ at the Colon Kiosk that’s around from the hotel.

Room was excellent had plenty room for two small dogs, they left out dog beds and bowls Comfy big bed, lovely shower room. Nice surroundings. Caceres is a must-visit jewel in Spain's repertoire of fabulous historic places to visit. So many places to see but all in walking distance of the parador - Plaza de la Concepcion, Plaza Mayor, Plaza de Santa Maria and the cathedral, Torre do los Pozos, the water cisterns and the Torre de Bujaco. All are wonderful sights to visit. Very easy to walk around and the Plaza Mayor has many restaurants and bars from which to choose where to eat.GhislaineUnited Kingdom

This was a rather special place to stay right in the heart of Caceres which is itself a delightful town. We felt at home straightaway and liked the large sofa in the living room. Lara, the concierge, went to great lengths to arrange a special tour for us in Caceres and assist us with parking our rental vehicle. This is a superb hotel with an excellent restaurant on site that serves a delicious breakfast. Highly recommend!!!

Had everything we needed and a very short stroll into the old town and everything that surrounds the Plaza Mayor. Public car park at Hotel Don Manuel was so convenient being 50 - 100 metres from the front door. The small breakfast pack and water/milk in the fridge was a very nice addition. If we stay in Caceres again we'll definitely look to stay here. Maria was brilliant with communication and recommendations. Thank you.

My host, Juana, was communicative and flexible (our flight in was delayed). The house is super comfortable with all amenities, two full bathrooms, an outside patio with a view. The decor is eclectic and interesting. Juana left us some pastries, jams, oranges, coffee, water, and milk which set our morning off to a great start.

Room was large well set up, very lovely and upscale. It was extremely comfortable and very relaxing. It was a great choice with parking right downstairs and access via an elevator.
