Fernando, the host, was marvellous. Very friendly and very helpful. The honesty bar was great. The dining arrangements with the local restaurant was a good idea. The breakfast was superb!

We were so impressed by our stay here! The staff were wonderful, unfailingly helpful and so friendly.
Our room was extremely comfortable, everything spotlessly clean (shower was amazing!). Breakfast was excellent. We brought our car, (there's free off-street parking). Ramales itself is a great spot for hikers, close to caves, rock-climbing and hiking trails, but an hour's drive to Bilbao and Santander for day-trips, 15 minutes to the beaches of Laredo. The surrounding area is beautiful. Highly recommend!

A wonderful small hotel set in a beautiful location within a very small village. The hotel was perfect in every way , we stay in the new building which had lounge , reception and restaurant. The bedroom was delightful with comfy beds , nice rural view and stunning shower room. We ate in the restaurant and had an outstanding tasting menu which not only tasted good but was beautifully presented (and far far better than we have recieved in other 5 star restaurants). The hospitality team were professional and still super friendly and helpful, and the property so clean.
We will definitely return again to sample this place again.

What a fabulous hotel in a fantastic setting. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner, Maika, who made us very welcome. There was a super choice of evening meals, beautiful grounds with pool and scenery to die for. We really recommend you visit this hotel.
Quirky hotel with a very simple and cheap set menu. €10.90 per person for 3 courses including a bottle of wine. Catered for vegetarian and vegan diets too. Quite a basic hotel but lovely staff. Close to the Pozalagua caves which are stunning.
