my room did not lock and I was not able to use it. I complained about it 3 times and it was never fixed. I did not use the room or keep my stuff in the room. At check out the font desk did not seem it care and acknowledge it was a problem . Very disappointed!!!!

We loved the house and the surrounding area and in particular the fantastic view over the bay. A beautiful clean, comfortable well presented property. Communications with our host Marcos were very good.

There isn't much to do in the area apart from water-based activities, which was the main reason I went - snorkelling, diving, swimming, kayaking, etc. But when the weather is bad, Malaga is only 1.5h away by bus and other cities/towns are 30 minutes away.

This apartment is a total gem!
This apartment is a total gem! You're right by the sea and even have a natural reserve as your neighbor, so the views are just insane. I mean, where else can you see a deer strolling by in the morning? The place itself is super stylish and decked out with all the amenities, including a kitchen that's got everything. And don't even get me started on the jacuzzi on the terrace—it's the ultimate spot for star-gazing.
The host was a breeze to communicate with, always quick to respond and super helpful with local tips. Oh, and the two modern private saunas in the apartment? A personal spa, perfect for for unwinding. Trust me, you won't regret booking this place. It's a slice of paradise that makes you feel like you've hit the vacation jackpot.

This has been one of my favourite holiday rentals ever!
This has been one of my favourite holiday rentals ever! Andreas and Ines are kind, attentive, responsive and generous people and are wonderful hosts. They live next door and are very respectful of the privacy of their guests.
This modern duplex home is set in a wonderful, quiet, up-market, residential neighbourhood. It has everything you could possibly need and it is comfortable, very well finished with super air conditioning. The beds are super comfortable and the bedrooms come complete with attractive and very functional mosquito nets. Ines clearly has wonderful taste and attention to detail and this is obvious from the thoughtful details and love that has been poured into this fantastic home.
The views from the spacious balcony are spectacular! We spent hours relaxing in the shade looking out at the trees, sea and bay as the sun set behind the hills. It’s also a wonderful setting for a Yoga practice and a few sun salutations.
The fantastic pool is a short, steep walk towards the bottom of the property through a lovely pine tree filled garden. The pool area also has amazing views across the bay and is very well equipped with modern recliners, pool accessories and brilliant umbrellas providing ample shade. The house faces west to catch the brilliant evening sunsets however there is sun on the pool area from mid morning (circa 10:30am).
It’s an enjoyable 15 minute walk into the town and beach and we strolled in every morning. The town has a myriad of restaurants and shops. There are multiple routes and walks into Le Herradura and down into Marina Del Este on the other side of the peninsula.
Thank you Andreas and Ines for such a wonderful holiday and we will be back!

Beautiful coastal town that is a gem of the Costa Tropical.
Beautiful coastal town that is a gem of the Costa Tropical. Beach is beautiful and plenty of lovely eating options. Hotels and accoodation vary to suit the budget but there is noting too pretentious here. Lovely local Spanish feel to the place. I always want to come back.

A cute little town perfect for a few days on the beach.
A cute little town perfect for a few days on the beach. A good choice of restaurants, cafes and bars - very family oriented. I travelled there with my 15 year old daughter and just wanted a few days chilling and sunbathing. Perfect for this. We were there 1st week of Aug and mainly Spanish people on holiday there which we loved - felt like real Spain. Clean pebble beach - busy by the water (take a parasol), quiet further back. The sea was clear and the perfect temperature. We travelled from Malaga by bus (Alsa). Really picturesque journey taking an hour and a half. 7 euros one way.
My family and I (2 adult, 16 and 10 year-old) stayed here for one month. It is a lovely little apartment and we very much enjoyed staying there. The beach is only 3 minutes away, 2 min. to supermarket and loads of cafes, bars and restaurants within a 5 min. walk. Bus to Malaga/Almunecar 1 min away, easy access to highway. Apartment was clean, kitchen well equipped. The hosts were lovely and responsive and spoke both English and Spanish. I would recommend the apartment and Blue Bay to anyone looking for a place to stay in La Herradura.
I liked this hotel a lot - the city itself is small and quiet outside the tourist season which means you can enjoy the sea & the stars at night peacefully. Go for a room with terrace at the sea side, it's wonderfull and you can hear the sea while sleeping. The room itself was very comfortable and smelled amazing (I find the nice smell in the room very important). We had a fridge and a coffee maker, which was pretty handy.
Even outside the tourist season there were a few open restaurants and bars nearby.
We both had the feeling that this was the best possible apartment to stay in La Herradura 🙂:
a bird's eye view from the highest terraces in town (the apartment terrace has a spiral staircase to its own private roof terrace) and a 5-minute walk to the beach (or 7, if you fancy walking down through the little streets and staircases of the old town). The apartment is very well equipped, spacious: a pleasure to be in! La Herradura itself is a great, not too crowded place to enjoy the beach.
The apartment is great. Right on the beach. Newly reformed and it has a big balcony with views on the beach and perfect on the afternoon and evening sun.
We really loved the place and Luisa went out of her way to make everything as comfortable as possible. She is full of information, quick in responses and even arranged us water and wine, since we arrived on Sunday.
La Herradura is a nice and quiet beach town. Really Spanish!
We absolutely LOVED our 9 nights at Casa Keko! The location is unbeatable, and the huge private rooftop terrace was unreal! We spent lots of time up there sunning, sipping wine and watching the town go by. Directly across from a lovely Mercado with tapas bars that make your order fresh using ingredients from the market. Numerous small supermarkets within easy walking distance, one block from the beach.
We had a lovely stay. Our room had a small lounge area and a terrace. It also had a small kitchen area. It was at the back of the hotel so nice and quiet. The hotel is right opposite the beach so a quick walk to everything you need, restaurants etc. Parking right outside.
The owners very kindly allowed us to stay with our dog after meeting him.
It is nice authentic place with all rooms in its own style, big balconies and nice view. The inner yard is very beautiful. I like to stay in such places where you can feel the spirit of the country, and with not a lot of people at the hotel.
I had problems with my room, and I was immediately offered another, even bigger room.
Our stay at Casa Fuerta was excellent, incredibly clean with amazing facilities, and in a great location, just a short walk from the bars restaurants and the beach. The host Maria was incredibly kind and accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay.
Villaquinta is a beautiful place to stay with stunning views over the bay of la herradura and with a pool, a perfect place to watch the sunset after a long day on the beach. Rooms clean and comfy, breakfast on the terrace was good. The hosts gave a warm welcome.
The location was very good, close to the beach and also the bus station. Extremely good value for money! I guess it's also great if you have a car as it is next to the main street and has good parking. And, there is a very cute cat living in the hotel! :D
The apartment was incredible, with amazing views and filly kitted out. Having the parking space in the garage was very important to enjoying La Herradura and the surrounding beaches.
