The evening meal was one of the best that I have had for a long time and so was the wine which was free. The staff were very good helping a non Spanish speaker through the menu. The location was very central with easy access to a lovely gazebo overlooking the Roman bridges over the river. We went to do stargazing and since it was a rural town near the gazebo was a very nice area to stargaze being not overwhelmed by city lighting. The whole town is very quiet and peaceful.

A really magical place set in beautiful countryside. Lovely to hear the birds singing & an owl hooting outside our window at night. The wine we tried (Pino noir) from the castles own vineyards was delicious. Fantastic friendly service. Lovely dinner & breakfast at the restaurant, lots of local produce including a delicious marmalade.
