A very beautiful small city with several UNESCO heritage sites, most of the major tourist attractions can be reached by foot from the city center. There are several restaurants in the city centre, most of them more expensive than in other Spanish cities.

Segovia is one of Spain’s most beautiful cities.

Segovia is one of Spain’s most beautiful cities. The Alcazar and the Cathedral are stunning, but nothing compares to the first time you see the Roman aqueduct. The only complaint I have is that everything closes after 2 pm and as a tourist you are forced to return to your hotel or wonder around while the town looks like a ghost town. Perhaps they could keep some of the tourist attractions open, so tourists are able to do something while the locals take their siesta.

We stayed two nights, but could have spent at least another day, or two. Take the time to walk around the river path down around the front of the Alcazar for views up, and when you get to the old bridge walk up and over the road and up the stairs to the lookout. Amazing photos. Climb the Cathedral bell tower for magnificent views of the city.

The stunning Roman Aqueduct, fairy-tale Alcázar, and Cathedral were stunning. Enjoy the traditional the signature dish of Segovia the Roast Suckling Pig (Cochinillo) which is so juicy and tender with crispy skin at one of the wonderful restaurants in old town. The royal mint and walks was a great bonus for our trip.

We spent four nights in the studio. The apartment is on Plaza Medina del Campo and facing the side of Iglesia de San Martin. A beautiful view to return to. The studio was comfortable and clean. The checkin is at the hotel next door. They were very helpful in getting a taxi for us when we needed it. The studio was cleaned after our second night which was unexpected. This is in walking distance to the sights, a grocery store, and many restaurants. It was a pleasure to stay here.

The hotel is steps from the main square and the cathedral and an easy walk down to the aqueduct. It is spotlessly clean with a good shower and firm but comfortable beds. My room was small but completely comfortable. The breakfast is good - fresh fruit, and a variety of cereals and breads. The staff were kind and helpful and let me leave my luggage for a few hours. A small pretty garden overlooking a wonderful view is a charming bonus. I hope to stay here again one day.

This hotel is across from the historical San Miguel Church in the center of Segovia's Old Town. You feel you're in a European hotel and all the charm it has. The staff were friendly and the housekeeping was done daily. All of this for 55E's per night. The bathroom was large and clean. The bedroom had quaint wooden shutters that surpass blackout curtains in every way. If you want the charm of Segovia, this place is spot on.

We stayed 1 night in the hotel. Its location is excellent (very quit) at the end of the aquaduct which is some hundred metres from the city centre of Segovia. The rooms have everything you need. The bathroom has some authentic characteristics. There are parking spaces available (reservation is recommended). The person at the reception was very friendly. Breakfast was OK with different choices of meat and cheese.

The location was perfect, all staff were extremely polite, the room was very large with all the amenities. We had a beautiful view from our window and from the terrace on the 5th floor. Breakfast was fantastic, with an excellent selection of hot and cold choices. When the hotel was quiet the hot breakfast was cooked to order which was a nice personal touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Real Segovia.

The location on the ancient town, just a short walk from the castle and Plaza de Mayor. This hotel was a real find and we have returned to it on our journey back up through Spain. The rooms are very comfortable and the staff friendly. The views of the castle and surrounding countryside, from our balcony were fabulous. In the morning we saw 4 hot air balloons sail away just in front of us.

Excellent staff, good breakfast - and by sheer good fortune we even managed to park for free right outside - the rooms were full of storage space, and cunningly designed to minimise sound (a major problem all over in Spain). For all that, the occasional street noise and some from reception in the small hours woke me.
