Italy’s first capital, sophisticated Turin has many elegant buildings and porticoed streets. Large Piazza Castello is the focal point and centres on Palazzo Madama, an unusual structure with a Renaissance façade and medieval body.
The next door Royal Palace backs onto Turin Cathedral, home to the Turin Shroud, the cloth with an imprint of Christ only rarely on display. Its museum is just one of the many fantastic Turin museums. None is better than the Egyptian Museum, the largest collection of Egyptian artefacts outside Cairo. Also noteworthy is the Mole Antonelliana, housing displays on Italian cinema and supposedly the world’s tallest museum.
By the Po, Italy’s longest river, is the Parco del Valentino, a tranquil park that is home to the Borgo Medievale, an artificial, medieval-style settlement with a castle.
However, within Italy, Turin is best known for sport and cars. FIAT is based here and nostalgia lovers can visit the rooftop track on top of their old Lingotto factory, now a conference centre. The city’s 2 Serie A football clubs - Torino and Juventus - also have electric atmospheres at their games.
Watch out for amazing views of the Alps as you fly into Turin Airport. Public transport then quickly links you to your Booking.com hotel, B&B or hostel.
We loved the auto museum and the Juventus stadium tour.
We loved the auto museum and the Juventus stadium tour. We would have liked to have seen the Egyptian museum but did not have enough time. Unfortunately our trip was cut short because of the long travel delays at the tunnels between France and Italy. We ate in Eataly and other onstreet restaurants. It was easy to use the trams to get to where we were going. Driving was a bit more confusing.

Amazing place to visit.
Amazing place to visit. The piazza's are plentiful, as too are places to stop for coffee/cuisine and watch the world go by. We loved the architecture, shopping and museums and although the weather wasn't so great on our stay, the City itself didn't disappoint!

Many opt for Milan over Turin, but it's time to reverse that trend. Turin isn't just an industrial city as commonly perceived; it's a stunning destination steeped in history, once the residence of the King of Italy. With its abundance of historical landmarks, excellent shopping, and delightful dining options, Turin offers a tranquil ambiance distinct from other Italian cities. Its compact size allows for leisurely strolls, making it a perfect getaway.

A beautiful city, less obvious than Rome and Milan, but offers a lot of attractions, both for those who like monuments and art, and for those who are interested in cars or movies. The area is also worth seeing, and the Alps look amazing. Turin is also famous for its food.

Only drove through Turin on route to France.
Only drove through Turin on route to France. Quite an experience. Main roads can be three lanes each direction twinned with the parallel residential street all meeting at a five or six way junction.😬Funky & stylish restaurants in the old town.
We booked this hotel for my parents' trip to Turin. They were simply AMAZAED. My Mom said it was PERFECT. The room was extremely spacious, the quality of all the materials used was superb. The location of the hotel is very convenient, because it allows to view the city on foot. Some shops even gave discounts when they found out what the residence of my parents was :)) It is pricey, no, expensive I would say, but since it was for a special occasion, it was totally worth it :) So if you can aford it, grab it!
was happy with location convenient for arrival and departure for the airport. Close to main station in Turin and near to Via Roma and central Turin
The hotel reception staff were always accommodating , I was very pleased with bedroom ,very comfortable bed furnishings old style but good quality antique.Breakfast was very good , small hot food area, pastries, bread, cake, cereal, some fruit and coffee machine fruit juice , yoghurt. very good selection.Very pleased with the hotel would return here.
The hotel is relaxed, great value and a good standard. The location was perfect for us, near enough to the centre of Turin but in a more residential area, with plenty of local shops, cafe's and green spaces (fantastic market a couple of streets away too).
The room was comfortable and a good size. The staff are excellent - courteous, helpful and friendly, the breakfast is very good, with plenty of choice.
All in all we felt the hotel punches above it's weight.
The hotel is located in a grand old building. The breakfast room is particularly pretty. It's on a small secondary street but well located: a block away from the Principi D'Acaja subway station, two blocks from streetcars going downtown, and within walking distance (without luggage) of Porta Susa. There's a small supermarket nearby (open on Sundays) and some food options. Breakfast is simple but good. There's an elevator to help with luggage.
The hotel was right next to Turin Porta Nuova train station, which means the city center and the main attractions were reachable on foot. The room and the shower were clean, and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was decent, consisting of both sweet and savory meals. The staff was supportive. They allowed us to check out late for no additional charge because our room was available the next day. Overall, good value for money.
The host is very thoughtful, provides you with detailed information about check-in/check-out, facilities and even Turin sightseeing places and public transportation schedules.
The apartment's design is outstanding compared to our other stays in Italy😁 Everything is new and clean.
In 3 min by walk you can go to wonderful bakery called "Cibrario Torino - Panetteria e Pasticceria". Highly recommended for visiting🤤
The staff were really fantastic, I had read in the reviews that the service was good, and was not disappointed. Attentive, helpful, and considerate (and funny). The interior was clean and contemporary, the bed was comfortable, and they turned on the air-conditioner before our arrival, which was thoughtful. This was the best hotel we stayed at on our week-long road trip through Italy. Great find. Highly recommended.
We love the Antico Distretto hotel. It's located in the historic heart of Torino, just within 200 m from the Museum of the Jesus Shroud of Turin. There are many other exciting attractions, parks, restaurants, etc. The room is freshly remodeled, the bathroom fixtures are all new, the bed is comfy. The elegant red & golden colors of the interior please eyes. The management is friendly. Thanks. Highly recommended.
We are a family of 5 so smallish hotel rooms (which we are used to in Italy) don't work for us. The apartment at Duparc was huge and modern. In fact this was probably the biggest place we stayed at ever. Ordered room service the one night we were there and the restaurant brought us a variety of amazing Italian food. Plenty of parking in front of the door.
We would stay here again for 2 main reasons: the staff were very helpful and friendly, and the Hotel is 5 minutes walk from Porta Susa railway & bus stations, and is also within walking distance of the city centre. We requested and were given a wake up call and early breakfast (which was better than many we have had in Italy).
We loved the location. We came in from Rome via train. It was so nice to see the hotel after walking out of the train station. We were warmly greeted upon arrival at the hotel. The breakfast was excellent. The sofa bed was ready for my son, which was great. I really cannot say enough good things about the hotel.
I broke a train journey London - Rome in Turin, and I chose this hotel for its proximity to the railway station for my onward journey. The hotel was modern, clean and verycomfortable. The Reception staff were helpful and for dinner pointed me to a restaurant conveniently nearby which was itself very pleasant.
The Wonderful Italy team accommodated our late check-in due to the unexpected shutdown of Turin Airport. EURO 40 was charged for late check-in by cash. I have made several requests for the invoice regarding the late check-in fee, yet I haven't received any response or results.
The hotel is in a wonderful art deco-style building with many original features, on a quiet street but very convenient for Porta Susa station and indeed central Turin. Our huge, comfortable room was great value for money. Staff were efficient and friendly.
Great location - across the road from Turin Porta Susa, and close to useful shops.
This is a very good 3-star hotel, and the prices are excellent. Very pleasant and helpful staff as well.
I always stay here whenever I visit Turin.
It was a very nice hotel.
Definitely one of the best hotels in Turin.
The staff was friendly and great to deal with.
The room was incredibly clean and satisfying.
Next time I visit Turin I will stay here a little longer.
Very kind and helpful reception team! This week I've been to three other hotels in Italy. Hotel Plaza turned out to be the only one offering a sympathetic conversation in English - this is priceless!
Connected to mall, the room we got was a. bigger room and it was spacious to stay for 4 nights. The Hotel is historical being Fiat’s old manufacturing plant.
Excellent hotel that never fails to guarantee an excellent stay. Perfect location right in the middle of Turin within walking distance of all key areas.
