Everything was perfect. Amazing staff, facilities, rooms, golf simulator. Honestly the first time I have ever paid for a more luxury room and thought it was worth over the value I paid.

It's a beautiful town/city, not very many foreign tourists (that I saw). It's a great place to wind down and relax on a beach on one side and nature on the other. I don't like hot springs but I heard that they are also very nice there.

The location at the ocean side, with stunning views from Atami hills, the little fishing port and its numerous eateries with freshest possible ingredients, busy shopping avenue at the train station, historic Kiunkaku Villa and garden, serving as the town's cultural centre, where I spent hours strolling and talking to various artists and artisans exhibiting their work, charming ladies at the villa's cafe, and the gem - MOA museum, what a great find! All this makes me long to come to Atami yet again during my next trip to Japan :-)

I didn't technically stayed in Atami city center, but a small town called Ajiro which is only two stations away from Atami, and our ryokan is 4 minutes walk from the station. It's a serene place with perfect combination of sea view and hot spring. The town is small, but it has quite some awesome restaurants ran by local people. I would recommend Satsuki Sushi and Shogyo Seafood Restaurant, premium quality food with very affordable price.
Ajiro is definitely an underrated town. Since the town center is both close to the JR train station and the seaside, it's a good place to stay and easy to travel between the izu towns by JR.

The hotel is beautiful.
The hotel is beautiful. Room is spacious and has amazing views. Hotel staff are attentive and helpful. Onsen was old but facilities are working fine. Location is near Atami attractions.
I wasn't aware that I have to make reservation for dinner even though the booking made was half board. Upon check in, I was told that I will only have Western dinner for my whole stay. I knew the hotel has a French restaurant but I didn't know that I have to state my choice of dinner in advance. Western dinner was ok, service at the French restaurant was excellent but the food quantity is too little (even for a small eater). On the second day, I requested for Japanese dinner but was told that Japanese restaurant was fully booked. After speaking with 6 different staff, the Japanese restaurant agreed to accommodate 2 more diners for one night but we had to eat our dinner at 5pm. My advice - please make reservation for dinner in advance. They have French and Japanese food to choose from.

When we got to Atami a typhoon passed through and there was heavy rain and wind. The queues for taxis at the station were huge and it was about 10.30 pm. We called the hotel to tell them we might be late to arrive but they came over to pick us up from the station free of charge. The staff here is lovely and our stay was comfortable. The view from our room was terrific, with a balcony that overlooked the ocean and beach. The property is a little old but it's clean and so well situated.
The room you get is quite big, more than enough to store multiple large suitcases (or multiple futons if having several occupants), with cooking facilities, and a traditional Japanese bathroom with separate toilet. The hotel is now also accepting credit card payments, which it did not use to. I visited once before the pandemic, and quite enjoyed my stay - not the best onsen hotel, but very decent for the price at the time. However, since then, things have changed...
Property location 6min left of Atami Station. Uphill about 20m walk so not too bad. Very home feeling and the host lady is very friendly. We used google translate to communicate and it worked. Room is clean. I booked the family room with its own bathroom and shower/bathtub so very good for the price . Highly recommend taking free shuttle bus from train station to visit Fuua the Occen view onsen. I had great time there.
The Prince Smart Inn Atami is a very modern and well equip hotel located right next to Atami Station. It has automated check-in services, good wifi, a nice cafe, and good sized rooms with really good bathrooms. It is really clean, even by Japanese standards. Bookings include an OK free breakfast. Considering all this, I am still amazed at just how reasonable the price of this hotel was.
The owners were absolutely delightful. They did everything they could to make me feel at home and I have absolutely nothing wrong to say about this place. Very close to the station (right behind the Toyoko Inn, you have to take the slope), convenient, the rooms are in a traditionnal japanese house but big enough. I'll come back for sure when I visit Atami again, with less rain I hope.
I enjoyed the everything about my stay here. This is an exceptional Ryokan. The staff were excellent, the facilities were great, the food was delicious. The rooms here are very nicely designed down to the detail. A very relaxing room that makes you feel like you’re somewhere else, and not in the middle of Atami. A private onsen with a garden view was such a nice amenity.
The host was absolutely incredible! She was so kind and had a private onsen ready for us upon our arrival! The room was spacious and overlooked atami, it was so beautiful! The bathroom was clean and tidy, and we met some lovely people in the reception and living space! We were only there for one night, but wish we had stayed more! Already planning a time to come back🌸
Nearly everything. I love Atami, and the hotel provides an exceptional view of Sagami Bay. The food is wonderful even for ryokan standards and the rooms are spacious and really elegant. The private bath is large enough for two people to fit in comfortably.
The breakfast did not come with my rate. I don't remember if the option for breadfast was available when I booked with booking.com The breakfast has to be ordered in advance for this hotel. You cannot order breakfast when you check-in.
This place is amazing with a beautiful view over the sea and you are always welcomed with friendly staff. Great option to enjoy Atami Beach without staying in mass tourism hotel. 123 Music have so much more charm and soul!
Facility has both Chinese staff and Japanese staff. They were very warm and offered us free ride to the train station in the morning. The room is very spacious. I would say it's pretty comfort for 6-8 visitors to stay at.
The room we stayed in has a private onsen. It was beautiful and very peaceful to relax in it. I love this hotel. Wished my travel schedule would’ve allowed me to stay longer. The staff are all super nice and attentive.
Very close to Atami and Izu. Its good bang for your buck if you are looking for a place to sleep, freshen and up. Also the staff had clear instructions for each visitor on how to access and check-in.
The food and the private onsen were highlight of our stay. The ocean view from our room was great. It’s close to the main shopping street of Atami, but it’s a bit far from the train station.
Quiet ryokan up on a hill with a view overlooking the valley and onto the bay. Good breakfast selection. Tokai Bus from Atami station stops right in front of the hotel lobby.
The room was amazing. Japanese style tatami, large and clean, with all the furniture you need. It was perfect value and we are planning to visit again in the future already.
Staff were wonderful. We were able to meet our Japanese friends in the lounge near reception area and all have a coffee here.
Loved the outdoor hot bath area.
Great place to experience Japanese hospitality. Beautiful rooms, with private outdoor bath. Extremely helpful staff and delicious food. Definitely recommend.
This is a traditional Japanese experience from all perspectives. The view is spectacular and the property is very clean with exception of being a bit dusty.
