I paid additional $200 (Mexican) and update a room. It was a wonderful room with a view to a lagune. Absolute wonderful. We got up early due to jet leg and from a balcony obtained 180 degree view to free space, boats going to fishing and with birds singing at the background. Bed is comfortable,. Bathroom is OK. Good place for one night flamingo tour.

While we didn’t have the chance to try it, it looks like it would be perfect for a refreshing dip after a day spent in the scorching hot weather. Overall, our stay met all basic expectations and was quite satisfactory.

Rio Lagartos is a fishing village that is refreshingly immune to tourism except for nature tours. The location was excellent. Both Victor and Ariel were wonderful taking us on boat rides and nature watching tours. Ariel's English was pretty good and he was always available to help. I really enjoyed being with him. It's really close to the restaurants and the one next door has a fabulous sunset views. I enjoyed just sitting down by the dock and watching the water. The deck has nice chairs for reading.
