The view & location wee great. The property was absolutely falling apart. To point that it was dangerous. We were electrocuted by the light switches. Part of the concrete balcony fell down the cliff. This place is not safe.

Very different according to what day of the week you go.
Very different according to what day of the week you go.
At weekends and holidays it gets very busy indeed with nudists and gays, who can be very overt with flaunting themselves, plus partying through the night until 4am making a lot of noise.
The rest of the time it is a beautiful place with nice sea and restaurants along the beach and very nice people

Beach is beautiful.
Beach is beautiful. Water is good for swimming, however there were some occasions when there was sewage sludge in the water. Nudist beach which was interesting. Can be too much with exhibitionism especially at either end and can be very noisy late afternoon to 4am.

Zipolite is beautiful and interesting.
Zipolite is beautiful and interesting. My husband and I like to walk and/or swim a lot on our holidays. We were disappointed that we could not swim in the ocean and walking was risky on the narrow 2-lane highway running through town, particularly since there were few sidewalks. The grocery stores were reasonably priced and Roca Blanca was a delightful little oasis of small shops, artisans and restaurants.

This is an end of the road old hippy beach town with no corporate presence. No big hotels or chain anything. Frankly it is kind of a dump and has no history, not even a fishing village claim. The beach and ocean are beautiful, but the entire coastline here is not suitable for swimming or even dunking. Very hot and humid even during my stay in early Dec 2023. Lots of massage, yoga, and alternative lifestyle things going on here. Lots of restaurants, bars and coffee places. Easy to just walk around the village. Just outside the village and up the hill are some better hotels with pools but high prices also, 200usd. If you want typical resort life you will be happier in Puerto Escondido area.

Best beach in the area. Not a lot to do .
Best beach in the area. Not a lot to do . The food at a few restaurants are way above average. Two amazing ice cream shops. And two different bank machines for cash withdraws. Smoke is easy to find and casual.
Corinna is a most excellent host. Friendly and helpful with lots of local advice. She also wanted to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay at her hotel. She even arranged for our cab ride back to the airport. The location is really close to the beach and some excellent restaurants. The hotel has a wonderful, tropical charm to it. Our room had air conditioning which helped on warm nights, and there is a lovely little private patio with a hammock which we enjoyed.
Point by point:
• The location is fabulous: right on the beach, and away from the noisy part of Zipolite, but only a five minute walk to the main street.
• The rooms are great and well looked after. There was no hairdryer, but it's quite useless there because of the humidity anyway.
• The staff is attentive and helpful, but not everyone speaks english (was never a problem)
• In general: one of the best clothing-optional places we ever stayed at!
I have a spinal cord injury, I used a cane to walk with. On the first day, I fell and twisted my knee and ankle. It was nearly impossible for me to walk after that. I ended up buying a wheelchair. The folks at Hotel Teresa were exceptionally helpful, accommodating and friendly. When I go back to Zipolite, I would definitely stay there again.
I most liked the location, and value for money.
new, clean, the staff is super kind, food is delicious and not expensive at all, perfect location, amazing service at the beach, totally recommend it.
they were super helpful with my transportation from and to the airport, I lose my flight and arrived to different airport, they helped me with that too in short notice and at good price. the rooms have good AC, very important in. Zipolite.
Best quality/price in Zipolite! (we tried other spot because it was fully book)
The hotel has a good vibe with friendly staff, it’s very clean and comfortable. there is lot of space in the rooms and all windows/doors have mosquitos screen.
You can order breakfast or use the communal kitchen. Free drinking water, good wifi, hammocks, a small pool…
The apartment, recently built as part of a small group, is well appointed and stylish. The development is in the hills above the beach, and the area is quiet. There is no restaurant, but I ate well at Maquil (a hotel a short walk away) and (for breakfast) Orale. The staff managing the property are highly responsive.
The room was clean and large. The beds were comfortable. The AC worked perfectly (AC is a luxury in Zipolite). There were multiple common areas to hang out in, including a rooftop patio overlooking the beach. It was quiet at night and 15 second walk to the beach.
This was my unique and perfect Oaxacan Pacific Beachfront hotel experience!! I LOVED that my room was rustic and beachfront, and I was serenaded by the sound of the crashing waves 24 hours!! My windows looked out on the majestic waves of the Pacific Ocean!
the location, great views. privacy and comfort close to zipolite public beach. a nice nice easy chill vibe but witty al the amenities of a great hotel, besides good location and use of regional materials and natural conscience approach.
Definitely the best hotel I've ever seen.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Christina and Salvia are amazing. Wonderful views. Great breakfast. Extended facilities (have even mats for a beach and snorkeling packs).
We loved everything about Casa Sol. The property is gorgeous. The location is great—set away from the main beach a little but very quick to get to. And the staff were all exceptionally helpful and friendly.
Great vibe, beautiful hotel and pool, delicious coffee!
Bed was very comfortable.
Cool mezqaleria bar.
Cool store for coffee, beautiful mugs and more.
Also very close to the Alquimista Hotel beach.
Most beautiful place we have ever stayed at. The staff treats you like family. Best view of all of all Zipolite! 188 steps from the beach and great restaurants in town!
The design of the hotel is really pretty and it is located right on the beach. There is a small pool for the hotel guests and the staff is extremely nice.
