Situated in Tokyo and with Akabane Park reachable within 200 metres, Akabane Holic Hotel features a restaurant, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a bar. The stuff was very helpfuö. They arranged for US (and other guests) that our luggage Was sent to our next destination in Japan. Rooms are basic but we we did not need more than a place to sleep and coffee in the morning. They only clean every third day but I think that is more than enough. You can still get fresh towels everyday. You also get free water bottles every day. I was pleasently surprised that the room had a balcony.

For the price it's a perfect hotel room. A good TV, a bed so confortable. I was so exhausted of my trip and this was a incredible place for my to rest at this price. This hotel is lcated about a three minute walk from Akabane Station, 2 minutes from a Family Mart and 5 minutes from a 7 Eleven. Its very clean and check in and check out was very easy. The staff were really nice and everything was very organised. Great hotel for the price. We stayed in a room with a large double bed (two adults and a ten year old) and found we had plenty of room to sleep (at first we were a little worried we would be cramped in the one bed).

Situated conveniently in the Kita district of Tokyo, Toyoko Inn Tokyo Keihin Tohoku sen Oji eki Kita guchi is set 400 metres from Yanagida Park, 400 metres from Oji Ekimae Park and 300 metres from... Almost everything was great! The staff were kind, even though I came past their check-in time, due to getting a bit confused by Tokyo Station, but they didn't even mention it. The room was nice, clean and had a decent view, I think I was on the 9th floor. The bathroom was also nice. There were also a few convenience 24/7 stores around and enough restaurants. Oji station wasn't that far away either and only took like a 5 minute walk. The breakfast was insanely good to be honest, with enough variety and left me filled for the early day as well.

Keep in mind that it was my first time in Japan, and I don't travel often to begin with so this review is coming from an inexperienced traveler. I thought this place was great to stay in. The location isn't too far from the Akabane Station (it's about a 10 minute walk), but if you have a lot of luggage it might be a little bit inconvenient. I only stayed for a week and just had a backpack and a carry on so it was fine. The front desk staff was really nice, they do speak some English so checking in and out was simple. If you're staying for an extended period of time they let you select your cleaning days (cleaning happens from 10am-3pm) and then they explain to you that your new towels will be hung on your door daily. The location is convenient because right outside of the hotel there's a cool area with a bunch of places to eat and drink as well as a Family Mart that's right across the street. The best part was that the 7Eleven around the corner has a 7bank ATM (I think all of them do), that accepts VISA as well as most other credit cards so if you forget to do the currency exchange at the airport like I did you can still get yen here. The facility is very clean and the elevator is fast. I stayed in a smoking room and never noticed any weird smells or anything, the room also comes with a nice AC unit and air freshener if you're concerned about that. The bathroom was perfect for me, but if you're taller than like 5'10" I can see how it would feel a little bit cramped. For the price it was amazing and the cleaning crew cleans the room and the bathroom really well.
