The farm is surrounded by ancient-looking walls out of lava stone, and boasts an equally ancient-looking lookout tower. My kids did love the cat that came visiting frequently

The house is located a few mins drive from Lagoa and ca. 10mins drive from Ponta Delgada. It's a large and beautiful house with garden and free parking on site. We had a beautiful, quiet and spacious room. There were multiple bathrooms available for guests. We could also use the well-equipped kitchen and the free coffee was a plus. Our host was lovely and super-helpful, she even washed our clothes and refused to accept anything for that. We really felt welcomed and "at home". It was overall an excellent stay.

We started every day with greeting and sometimes feeding (bought some carrots in Pingo Doce) all 10+ horses that were literally our neighbours. – Host and staff were very pleasant. If you are here be sure to take a horse riding class from the hosts. We've been completely thrilled after the class. – We liked the apartments - lots of space, large comfortable bed, BBQ zone, atmospheric interior. – Location is very good if you have a car

The Convento de São Francisco is a built in a 17th century Franciscan convent. A place with a soul ❤️ Everything was perfect. The people that are working there make your visit a true pleasure. The building is amazing and has the most beautiful views. I will definitely come back.
