The hosts were exceptionally kind. I mentioned I planned on hiking near Mt Aso and they prepared a lunch for me two days in a row. They upgraded my room as I was the only person staying there, drove me to the store and the station when I didn't have a car, and did everything to make me feel welcome. The location was incredible and quiet, with stunning views of Kumamoto and a beautiful guesthouse. I can't thank them enough for their kindness!

An absolute gem of a place! The lady who runs the house is so sweet and made me feel right at home. The room was sooo quiet and private. The house is decorated adorably with thoughtful touches and personal to the owner. The roof top was such a nice surprise. I felt like I was the only guest because everyone was so quiet and respectful. Highly recommend. Close to everything and short walk to transit station.

The decorations of the guest house are amazing, I had a Japanese style room but very unique and beautiful. The food is very good and they offer a lot a different alcohol too. You can also cook your own food. Most important the owners are very sweet and helpful. They are very knowledgeable on what to do in Kumamoto too. There is also a good gym room, you can practice boxing with the locals on the right day and the other you can is it on your own. There are a lot of good restaurants around the guest house too. If I go back to Japan I definitely want to stay there again.
