Birchwood Guest Lodge offers air-conditioned accommodation in Balmaha. Free WiFi and freee parking is available at the property. Wonderful location, lovely outdoor area that allowed for eating outside when the weather is nice and a large kitchen area and balcony. The owners are absolutely lovely too! For those wanting to relax on their own, the hand built beds and foldaway table in the rooms also made the cosy rooms a nice area to eat and play cards if you prefer. More than enough parking. Perfect location to Loch Lomond, local shops and pubs and the charming Cashel Forest for nice hikes and walks along the pebble beaches. Being on this side of the Loch really makes you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, despite being less than an hour from Glasgow. A perfect trip with my family.

Excellent host who was willing to fulfil our special request of a very late check-in - a request that we found very hard to accept by other hotels or guest houses doing in-person check-in in that area. Fantastic breakfast menu you can choose from the evening before. Even better the taste and quantity of served meals we were not able to finish. We had a very short but the better stay at Gowanlea Guest House I would recommend to anybody. If coming back to Balloch and surroundings, definitely going to stay at Gowanlea again.

Located 29 km from Glasgow Botanic Gardens, The Loch Lomond Guesthouse offers accommodation with a patio, as well as a shared lounge. This was such a great place to stay. James was super nice and welcoming, the guesthouse is beautiful and well located and the room is very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great too. We would love to come back

Situated next to Balloch Rail Station, Tullie Inn offers comfortable accommodation 1 mile from Alexandria town centre. Excellent room and breakfast. If we visit again the area, we´ll certainly try t book a room here again.

Offering garden views, Norwood Guesthouse-Loch Lomond is an accommodation situated in Balloch, 27 km from Mugdock Country Park and 27 km from Glasgow Botanic Gardens. The owner was such a gem, lovely breakfast and great conversation! As a solo traveler, it's always great to have friendly hosts. The traditional Scottish breakfast was amazing and so well served. This place was a bit of a splurge on my budget but it was worth it. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very spacious and charming.
