Wonderful location, lovely outdoor area that allowed for eating outside when the weather is nice and a large kitchen area and balcony. The owners are absolutely lovely too! For those wanting to relax on their own, the hand built beds and foldaway table in the rooms also made the cosy rooms a nice area to eat and play cards if you prefer. More than enough parking. Perfect location to Loch Lomond, local shops and pubs and the charming Cashel Forest for nice hikes and walks along the pebble beaches. Being on this side of the Loch really makes you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, despite being less than an hour from Glasgow. A perfect trip with my family.

Excellent host who was willing to fulfil our special request of a very late check-in - a request that we found very hard to accept by other hotels or guest houses doing in-person check-in in that area. Fantastic breakfast menu you can choose from the evening before. Even better the taste and quantity of served meals we were not able to finish. We had a very short but the better stay at Gowanlea Guest House I would recommend to anybody. If coming back to Balloch and surroundings, definitely going to stay at Gowanlea again.

James was super nice and welcoming, the guesthouse is beautiful and well located and the room is very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great too. We would love to come back

Beautiful location right on the Loch. Rooms overlooking the water were large and comfortable. Very clean. Yummy breakfast

Situated next to Balloch Rail Station, Tullie Inn offers comfortable accommodation 1 mile from Alexandria town centre. Excellent room and breakfast. If we visit again the area, we´ll certainly try t book a room here again.

On the east shore of Loch Lomond, this award-winning family-run country inn is constructed from locally quarried slate and offers a perfect tranquil location for a romantic or relaxing break. Great baggage service. Nice clean spacious room.

Forty Winks Loch Lomond er gististaður í Balloch, 27 km frá Glasgow Botanic Gardens og 28 km frá Mugdock Country Park. Gististaðurinn er með garðútsýni. Lovely place, Handy for local amenities! Nice staff, friendly and accommodating! Would highly recommend.

Norwood Guesthouse-Loch Lomond er gististaður í Balloch, 27 km frá Mugdock Country Park og 27 km frá Glasgow Botanic Gardens. Þaðan er útsýni yfir garðinn. The owner was such a gem, lovely breakfast and great conversation! As a solo traveler, it's always great to have friendly hosts. The traditional Scottish breakfast was amazing and so well served. This place was a bit of a splurge on my budget but it was worth it. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very spacious and charming.
