Koh-san is a super kind host, attentive and caring. Great space in the house, multiple rooms on the ground floor including the kitchen, everything is neat and clean. Koh-san always goes above and beyond: this time, he helped us buy tickets for a performance (which required research and dedication!), and also with a hotel reservation needing phone calls. Thank you so much for all your help, and we hope to be back again one winter -- Akita is our favorite prefecture!

みんなの実家門脇家 provides a hot tub and free private parking, and is within 10 km of Akita Station and 14 km of Omoriyama Zoo. Its a nice, calm corner in the outskirts of town. perfect for getting away from the big city. The owner and his family are more than friendly and accomodating, would recommend.

This place exceeded my expectations in every way. Well located a few minutes away from the station, with a supermarket 1 minute away and easy access to nature. Everything was convenient, clean and pretty, but above everything else was the owners kindness. Constantly present and helpful, they were a delight and an absolute pleasure to chat with. I intend to come visit Akita again, I don't know when, but I'll make sure to come back to this hostel.

I really enjoyed being there and would like to have stayed longer but was already committed to a schedule.
