Beautiful artistic vibe of the place, stunning view of Sakurajima. Love the room decor and atmosphere of the whole building - was a little jarring at first, but the longer I was there, there more appreciative of the little details and the work rhats gone in. It was like staying in an art gallery.

Everything about this property is amazing! The building itself is all wood traditional rooms with futon beds. The showers are modern and very nice hot water. There is a kitchen where you can make some food and nice common area you can eat and meet the other guests and the lovely staff. All sparkling clean. The staff are the nicest people you can meet and so very helpful! The location of the property is 5 stars, the Isso beach couple of minutes walk behind the property and the river and the green heels in front of the property. The property has some spaces for parking in front of you rent a car.

Everything! Really lovely and helpful hosts and the house is very beautiful and clean. I also recommend eating Keihan as a breakfast there, it's a delicious local dish. When I return to Amami, I will definitely stay here again ♥️

Catch the local airport bus to get here from airport or ferry. Some distance to grocery stores, so be prepared if you do not have your own transport. Friendly and welcoming owners.

We spent great moments here. Inside the house, it is pretty warm. There are coffee beans and everything ready for us to make a hand drip coffee. I can’t wait to make one cup. The coffee taste so good and smooth, maybe this is selected beans. I connected the Bluetooth speaker and playing Mayumi Itsuwa’s songs. Music harmonized with the lovely chalet interior, the atmosphere is so relaxing and immersive. Kihara-san is very nice. The Shinyu Onsen he recommended is gorgeous. The hot spring water is wonderful. It is milky-white, so natural and so great. I guess it come from a sulphur spring. In the daytime, we hiked around Onamiike and Ebino Plateau. The crater lake is amazing and there are great views along the trails. At night, we do BBQ in front of the chalet. We rent a Charcoal Konro Grill set, it is really convenient. We bought some Japanese Wagyu beef for yakiniku from supermarket near Kirishima. The beef is yummy, really delicious.

It’s a beautiful house, beautifully located next to the lake, close to restaurants, close to a busstop. Mainly: the hosts are incredibly friendly ♥️ order the breakfast you wont regret. They can make it vegetarian on request.

Το Tomarigi απέχει 3 λεπτά με τα πόδια από το αεροδρόμιο Yakushima και προσφέρει κουκέτα σε κοιτώνα, κήπο με αιώρα και δωρεάν Wi-Fi. There is only 1 main accommodation area and the house has high roof, so it feels very open and spacious for me. Well ventilated with plenty of fresh air and natural light. I loved the feel of a wooden Japanese house. Everything was very clean and cozy. Loved the outdoor kitchen, lovely outdoor cooking experience; and outdoor areas, makes it easy to dry up after a rainy hiking day. The home is well equipped with racks and amenities (washing clothes, cooking). The host was so warm and caring, she checked in with you to provide necessary information on getting around and visiting Yakushima. Ask her about the meaning of the name Tomarigi, it’s very sweet. Thank you so much for my comfortable and close-to-nature stay, I had an amazing time!
