We booked on the same day and already late since we missed the last bus going to Nagano station. We called the owner to hail a taxi for us but he picked us up at the bus station in 5 minutes. The house itself is very clean and has complete amenities. You can cook in the kitchen if you like. The room itself is also very spacious and has an attic sala.

Not difficult to visit as they provide pick up at Shiojiri train station. Owner (Wakuw and Ayano) who's switch their city life back into nature are so kind and give us very warm welcome. there is a camp ground nearby and we can have a short walk amidst the nature scene. if required. they can provide you breakfast and dinner that you should try as Wakuw San was a chef from Tokyo who back to nature life.

If you want to stay somewhere that shows you the warmth and kindness of Japanese people this is where you should stay. The owners of Shioriya are the most gracious and welcoming hosts - they go above and beyond to make your stay in Nagano as special as possible. On both mornings at the stay they gave us a very tasty traditional breakfast of soup and fruit, and helped with suggestions of where we should visit in Nagano and where to eat / what to try whilst we were here. The stay is also beautiful with a traditional Japanese feel. You can tell that a lot of care and thought has gone into the design of the home and rooms. There is also a little kitchen area where you are able to make your own food and wash your clothes if needed. It was very clean and we felt really at home here. Google Maps doesn’t show the local buses in Nagano so it looks like the venue is harder to get to than it is - if you are arriving at Nagano Station, take bus number 30 to Oka Iriguchi stop and it’s a 10 minute walk from there. We didn’t realise this when we arrived and tried to take a taxi which was quite expensive (although the taxi driver was also very helpful!).

Kitchen was well equipped. The property was quiet and calm. The hosts were lovely and we appreciated the tea :) Overall cozy and relaxing - recommend!

Always ready to assist and behaved very courteously. The place was very clean and well maintained. The onsen in the hotel was clean and hygienic with all the facilities. I highly recommend this hotel.
