The guesthouse is a historical building and Marianne and her husband were very keen on sharing some insight. Vintage, rustic decor gives the place a nice vibe. Daily breakfast was delicious and we also had 2 dinners, which were homecooked and truly remarkable. Heated floor in the bathroom was also very nice.

Some units have a terrace and/or a patio with mountain or lake views. At the guest house, each unit is fitted with bed linen and towels.

You can play billiards and darts at the guest house, and the area is popular for skiing and cycling. Guests at Heidal Gjestgiveri AS can enjoy fishing and hiking nearby, or make the most of the garden. Great location for rafting. The food is exceptional- both dinner and the breakfast (great salmon). Super, clean rooms. Newly done up communal areas. Log fire outside in the evening. Fabulous views.

The cabin has a wonderful authentic feel to it and it was very welcoming and warm to stay in. Would absolutely recommend. Beautiful and quiet surroundings for a great night's sleep too. Fab base for tackling Besseggen trail. A car is essential.
