This hotel is ideally situated for visitors to the area. Located in one of the most central and best communicated areas of Madrid. Close to the Reina Sofia Art Gallery, The Prado Museum, the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, the Botanical Gardens and the Atocha railway and underground station.

The hotel has a warm and welcoming atmosphere that emphasises friendly and hospitable service. It also has excellent facilities as well as comfortable guest rooms and public areas.

For social activities, we offer 4 different meeting rooms which can be equipped with various types of audiovisual aids. The rooms are of different sizes and capacities; 2 of them can also be connected and prepared to adapt to the diverse needs of seminars, conventions, conferences, meetings and banquets.

Food & beverage

One of the hotel’s most attractive aspects is its excellent varied buffet breakfast service. It is available from 07:30 to 11:00 from Monday to Friday. There is a special timetable for Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays from 07:30 until 11:45 to enable you to enjoy it at your leisure.

The cafe restaurant La Galerie also offers a snack bar from 13:00 until 23:00, as well as an a la carte lunch from 13:00 until 15:30 and a dinner service from 20:30 until 23:00.

The 122 rooms of the Madrid Carlton have been designed with attention to detail so that the pleasant decor and furnishings provide you with a comfortable stay.

Spacious well decorated room, lovely bathroom, proximity to Atocha railway station and metro, many sights at walking distance. Of the many hotels we have stayed in in Madrid Carlton is the best. We will be back. Thank you Carlton.

Friendly helpful staff, excellent location

No. The ultra modern bathroom, especially the shower taps were hard to understand, and the narrow shower screen didn't stop water getting onto bathroom floor. Everything else was excellent.

We received two suites for the price of the two rooms booked. Breakfast was good quality and large choice.

elevators very small - they were redecorating the outside façade, a bit of discomfort

Location. Subway is near.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in.We were not informed that there was no aircon so we had to open the windows at night.It was very noisy. There was a safety deposit box in the room...but with a Euro 2.00 charge use per night.This is the fist time I have experienced a hotel charging for use of a safety deposit box in the room. Also,staff were not helpful...their answer to questions...I Am busy!!!

The Room was very spacious and also the proximity to the 3 art galleries

There was an unpleasant smell coming up through the plugholes in the bathroom which permeated the room for a while

Hotel was in a central location, easy to get to everything. Don't spend money on the breakfast, there are restaurants very close by where you can have coffee.

I was not satisfied with security of the room, there was not a security lock on the door that you can lock from inside of the room. I thought the staff was ok, they acted as if they could not be bothered. I think it was more of their lack of the english language.
