The hostel an event for the guests hosted by volunteers (who are usually also travelers) almost everyday. We went to a museum, sang karaoke, and even had a free dinner provided by the hostel one night. An amazing way to meet other travelers. I traveled alone and had an AMAZING time! This castle overlooks the Elbe River and has stunning views! Although I was not in the main castle (I was in the Kavalierhaus), my room was clean and very comfortable. The reception was warm and courteous; due to full room bookings, we were upgraded to the largest family room, much to the delight of our children. They thoroughly enjoyed the pizza for dinner and the self-service breakfast. The room's colors and decor were distinctive, contributing to an overall clean and tidy ambiance. The location is incredibly convenient, just a 5-minute walk from Dresden's train and tram stations. Highly recommend for short stays.
