Overlooking Boathaven Bay, Colonial Palms Motor Inn is located 1 km from Airlie Beach and features 2 pools, an outdoor spa and a restaurant. The room was good in size. Had a view of the bay, garden, and pool. They have a restaurant their that was reasonable cost and the food was great. The staff was very polite. Easy check in. This worked out great as it was very close to our tour meeting point.

Featuring barbecue facilities, Reef Gardens Motel is located in Proserpine in the Queensland region, 25 km from Coral Sea Marina and 21 km from Whitsunday Art Gallery. Due to flash flooding and storms we got stranded in Proserpine for 5 days with no accomodation. John and Julie at Reef Gardens Motel found us a room and went above and beyond to help us throughout our stay. They provided us with clean towels every day of our stay and nothing we asked was too much. They cleaned our room consistently and offered to drive us to the local supermarket so we could stock up on some food until the weather had cleared and the airport was back up and running. Thank you both for looking after the 3 of us during this tricky time!
