Located in the city center next to the small Suze canal and the pedestrianized shopping zone, the Mercure Biel hotel is easily reachable on foot from the main station. The hotel felt new and was very clean. The staff at both check-in and check-out were very friendly and helpful. The attendant at check-in let me know that parking in the street was free and where to go. The free breakfast was the best one on my 10-day trip (just stayed here 1 night). My favorite part was when I returned the electrical adapter (as I had left mine at home), I asked if the hotel sold them since it designed for all European and US/AUS connections and the attendant let me have it free of charge. That alone made me a customer of Mercure in the future.

Food in the evening is wonderful! The staff is exceptionally friendly! I will be coming back to this hotel when I'm in this region.
