Very friendly owner and staff. I like this modern rustic style. Very good breakfast. Nice restaurant! Room's humidity and temperature was perfect, very good for sleeping. One of my favourite hotel in this area.

Set amid a rocky Alpine landscape, this historic mountain hotel is located at 7.1 feet above sea level on the Grimsel Pass. Location. It is great. I visited in beginning of October and it was easy to get there by public transport during that time (it might be different when snow covers the mountain pass). Tickets for some of the local cable cars were included and for some other ones I got a discount (I've used free cable cars only as I've stayed for one day and there was only that much I could visit). I would really encourage to walk around the lake that is down from the hotel as it is beautiful and the view from the dam is also great! Breakfast was very nice as well. One thing to keep in mind - hotel is high up (1900-2000 meters) and if you are not used to mountain hotels, you might have worse sleep quality, not because of the beds or something, but because air is thinner up there and your body need to adjust to that.

31 miles from Lucerne Train Station, Hotel Dakota is located in Meiringen and provides free WiFi and a tour desk. We had an excellent experience at Hotel Dakota! Friendly staff, pleasant, professional, and efficient! They are courteous and always greeting and willing to support! The room was a good size with a balcony and amazing mountain views. There is a mini fridge, Nespresso coffee machine and a safe. They do daily housekeeping and replace towels as needed. Buffet breakfast has a little bit of everything from eggs, cold cuts, cheese, cereals, breads etc. I loved the orange juice maker!!! Hotel is situated in close proximity to all main attractions. They provide an underground parking at 10 Francs per day with access to elevator. Room is tastefully decorated, and they provided us with a king size bed and extra pillows! The front desk tries to help you in many ways. My wife and I loved the hotel and will definitely come back. It was our first visit to Switzerland but will not be the last!

Hotel Restaurant Urweide can be found in the village of Innertkirchen in the Bernese Oberland region in the heart of Switzerland. Located 2.5 mi from the Brünig Pass, Hotel Bären offers a sun terrace with views of the Engelhörner Mountains and a restaurant. The location and views were beautiful. As a family of 4 we had two adjoining rooms with a shared bathroom which gave us plenty of space.
