I love the hotel’s location along the Verzasca River, the staff, the accommodations and the restaurant. Really, everything! A beautiful waterfall is located right next to the hotel…you can eat on the patio with the sound waterfall and the sight of the water. The river is directly across the street and the Ponte dei Salti bridge is in the immediate area…maybe 500 yards up the road. There are nice (and long) hiking trails, numerous rustic towns to visit, and the Verzasca Dam is just down the road. The hotel staff is very warm and inviting, and I was relieved to find they had an English speaker (actually, several) on staff.

From Davide and the staff who took great care of us, to the very clean and comfortable rooms, and finally to the great location in the middle of the Sonogno-Lavertezzo trail which was for great for us, as the weather was a bit unpredictable and it allowed us to adapt faster to the changing conditions. Thank you for the great (although too short) stay!

Room was comfortable with necessary facilities and it was clean. Breakfast was very good and as per our expectation. Hotel staff was very corporative. We lost track of our hotel due to missed train from Grindelwald. We reached very late at night in nearby station. Public transport was not available and took taxi. Due to miss-communication, driver dropped us in middle of night and we were stranded. Lost tracked and tired. We called hotel owner and she was very gracious. She came 12:30 am in night with her little baby and picked us up. it was a great help at that time. Really thankful for that!

Beautiful location, peaceful with stunning views! Would definitely recommend!

Television and coffee machine is working. Apartment is clean and easy to find, fresh linen and towels. More expensive then hotels in sonogno but Hotels in Sonogno are always booked out or it's very complicated to book. Casa21 is a good choice!!
