Rooms were furnitured individually, but modern, not mainstream. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly staff.

A wonderful place to stay, the hotel preserves the structure of the old post house with beautiful wooden planks, it is right next to a little stream, lots of birds, lush vegetation, pretty neighbourhood, spacious room and bathroom, very comfortable bed, very quiet at night. Restaurant serves excellent dinner, great local beer in the evening. Breakfast is delicious with fresh rolls, great selection of all kinds of cold cuts. Very friendly staff.

Our hosts were so very friendly and helpful, and really welcoming to us. The food was amazing! Every dish was beautifully presented and delicious. We have been traveling throughout Europe for the past 12 months, and have to say that our stay here was in our top 10 favorites! We highly recommend visiting the hotel for a comfortable stay, or if you’re looking for great food, then absolutely for dinner!

With a view of the River Elbe, this waterside hotel looks out onto Hitzacker Harbor and Hitzacker’s historic island city. Offering a rich breakfast, rooms feature flat-screen TV and Wi-Fi internet. Room was bigger than expected. it was clean and bed was comfortable. Hotel provides a good Wifi connection. Breakfast and dinner at the restaurant is also exceptional. If I need to go Hitzacker or nearby cities, I will definetely stay Hotel Hitzacker again.
