Set in Jarandilla de la Vera, 15 km from Monasterio de Yuste, Hotel Rural San Giles offers accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. The place is really great: clean and neat, perfect quite atmosphere and above all the staff ; Javi and his wife are just extraordinary and committed 100% to the guests. At night, you can see the Milky Way and all the constellations, and even see Saturn with Javi’s telescope. Incredible.

Offering views of the Sierra de Gredos Mountains, El Rincón de los Riveros is set 3.5 km from El Raso. It has a restaurant and natural rock pool where guests can swim. This hotel is situated on a beautiful property, the management was just lovely. Clean, quiet, perfect location.

Hotel Rural Abadía de Yuste is a unique building from the 16th century located in the historic-artistic town of Cuacos de Yuste. It preserves its original wooden ceilings and clay flooring. Very nice neat place. Excellent location, extremely friendly owners. Great food. Bed mattress and pillows could be better. Other than that, one of the best little hotels you can find.

Hotel Llano Tineo enjoys a tranquil setting, 3 km outside Villanueva de la Vera, in the Extremadura countryside. It offers a seasonal outdoor pool, free Wi-Fi and Gredos Mountain views. Everything about our stay was fantastic. Every room is different, clean and spacious. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Food was superb. Overall, can’t fault anything, will definitely be back next summer!

This country house is located in the village of Pasarón de la Vera, 30 minutes’ drive from Plasencia. It offers an outdoor pool and charming, air-conditioned rooms with a TV. personnel was really very friendly, the food was excellent and the swimming pool was a treat. I also loved eating outside in the lovely courtyard. Beautiful house! And very peaceful and quiet.

Situated in Collado, 42 km from Parque Natural de Monfragüe, Alcor del Roble features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant.

El Turcal is design hotel set in a 19th-century barn, restored with local wood and stone. It offers bright, spacious accommodation, with large gardens and an outdoor swimming pool. Everything looked like the photos, very beautiful, very clean, almost exquisite. Quiet and peaceful. Really cosy and comfortable. I like this kind of nice renovations in old houses were you feel the soul of the construction and then the good taste of the renovation. The owners were nice, mainly the lady, Carmen always with a smile on her face.

Hotel Rural Spa Don Juan de Austria is situated in the small town of Jarandilla de la Vera, in Extremadura. Very handsome staff helped us with everything we needed. The place is quiet. Rooms are comfortable and large. We spent one night only, but may repeat in the near future.

Featuring a bar and free WiFi throughout the property, Casa Rural Parada Real is situated in Garganta la Olla. All rooms boast a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a private bathroom. Very welcoming, provided great local information. Room for 4 larger than expected, at top of house with fridge and kitchenette with two separate bedrooms perfect for our family of 4. Good breakfast too. We stayed just one night on our way to Portugal but wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again, thank you Juan and Rebeca.
