Saiaritz offers air conditioned accommodation located in Amurrio in the Ayala Valley, 30 km away from Bilbao. Each room at this hotel comes with terrace, TV and a private bathroom. We chose Saiaritz to have a rural base close to Bilbao, with parking. It was a good plan but Saiaritz made it fantastic. The building is architect built, beautifully finished. Amurrio lies in a lovely green plain, surrounded by hills; in the middle of Spain’s heatwave we stayed cool. We could take the (air conditioned) train from Amurrio to Bilbao for a few euros, with no parking hassles. But by far the highlight of our stay at Saiaritz was the hilarious and warm family who run it, Eritzu (sorry I don’t know how to spell her name, but she will know I mean her) her brother Angel, parents, grandparents, children alll play a part in making you feel welcome. Offering a terrace and hot tub, Osabarena Hotela is situated in Murueta-Orozko, in the Basque Country Region, 20 km from Bilbao. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Beautiful location, very friendly staff, immaculate modern rooms.

Located in the Gorbeia Nature Reserve, Etxegorri Landetxea offers fantastic views of the Orozko Valley. Its elegant rooms come with free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. Beautiful room and house. Both cosy and modern, spotlessly clean and super comfortable. The owners are kind but not intrusive.

Located in the heart of Orduña, the hotel is set in a neoclassical style building dating back to the 18th century, where each corner evokes history mixed harmoniously with the contemporary facilities.... Very good value for the price, nice and large room, breafast was very good as well.

This hotel is located in the Basque town of Llodio, 20 minutes’ drive from Bilbao. It offers bright rooms with free Wi-Fi, a TV and a private balcony. The manager of the hotel, Luis, helped us a lot and was very friendly. He is also prepared for us a nice breakfast.
